i get your point, i dont agree with it, but i get it..
but i have to call you on your hyperbole of a argument. you can't say: "I'm X, and the game cant attract X" while also being X and a paid subscriber.

y'all want change? but not as bad as you want to keep a virtual house. you want a revolution but are not willing to sacrifice for it. so you will will only ever get what you already have.

A game in which people buy MULTIPLE mounts and glams in duplicates for their main character and their alts (sometimes a lot of them), at FULL PRICE, even if people would leave in droves at this point, what is called the "whales" aka people buying every single mog station item and even buying it in duplicates would keep SE afloat just with that, the good old argument of "just quit and vote with your wallet" doesnt work in FFXIV because of that.

So, just keep giving them money and complaining about 10-15 times a day per account, right? The guy's point isn't that unsubbing is going to solve their problem. His point is that people just like to complain without doing anything about the issue on THEIR part.

That being said, I've been around long enough to know what will and wont change in this game and it goes back to a point I made in another thread that some people have to accept that what they want from this game just wont come to pass. Unless a new director of the game is going to be appointed, the core of the game will be the same with some experimentation along the way (or reductions, i.e. how many dungeons we used to get per patches over the years). People can talk about the state of the game all they want and speculate the reasons behind declines/increases/whatever (all the while never including external factors which just shows how naive they really are imo), but its not going to change anything. Someone is more than welcomed to direct me to a time where all these threads made them change the direction of the game though (outside of diadem being garbage and restructures 2-3 times, but honestly that's more of a metric based decision instead of complaining).

Not what I'm saying, personally the way I see it is :

If a person dislikes certain things in the game but loves others things also in the same game, then there really is no reason to unsubscribe, that's my case personally, I dislike the content because not only do I find it boring because of the lack of difficulty, but I find the jobs themselves extremely boring just as much, but I also really like the social aspect of this game, housing, the PvP (CC in particular) I really like to do and the crafting system is more fun than where I came from which is WoW, if I want my dose of content I just play WoW, if I want anything else social related or what I mentioned above I open up FF, playing both in my eyes is the way to go.

Now if a person dislikes everything in the game, which really is something sorta popular on this forum at this point, it really is, especially from older players, then perhaps its just an usual routine of playing the game they've had for years, they just want the game to improve and go a certain way, and since it doesnt, well people complain and try to get things in a "better shape", I am not here to tell them wrong, nor are you, it's their opinion.

I myself complain quite a bit especially regarding the lack of content because I would love to play the actual content in this game, but sadly in its actual state it's just too boring in my view, that mixed with the 2 minutes meta and the boring jobs is just yuck, and take in mind I've only been here for 2 years, and I also dont count "catch 2000 fishes" as content, that's just an achievement.

TLDR : If you like certain parts of the game, you have no reasons to unsubscribe, keep enjoying them and give feedback related to the parts you dislike and what would get you to like them, if you despise the game in its entirety, perhaps a different game might be best.

All I know is I'm in my early 20s and I can't stand current day FFXIV gameplay with how boring each job has become and how cringe the current story is. You don't attract players like me with this current direction.

I don't think you are what Yoshi P is referring to. Yoshi P is unironically trying to entice 13 and 14 year olds. The systems have to be simple enough for their brains and inexperience.
