    Finally figured out why the post broke..so now I can finally put this out.

    I suppose this is a good time as any to list for all the tanks for the nth time. Added spoiler tags so your eyes don't bleed from a wall.

    DRK:

    • Actual active MP magement via damage-mitigation interaction via a revised Dark Arts, much like Heavensward's.
    • Souleater replaced with Power Slash. Power Slash was by far the most satisfying between the two to execute
    • Shadowskin brought back as a low level The Blackest Night
    • Edge/flood either revised or removed and replaced with Dark Arts
    • Shadowbringer removed or used as a resource spender. Change the animation so that it isn't just bigger Flood of Shadow.
    • Dark Passenger brought back as a low level Shadowbringer. Flood of Darkness->Flood of Shadow->Shadowbringer would be a good upgrade path if the Shadowbringer animation isn't modified as well.
    • Do literally anything with Delirium that doesn't include it being a copy of Inner Release. At least make it give 3 different powerful GCD's if you're going to keep this functionality. Old Delirium->Bloodspiller->Scourge for example.
    • Bring back the haste on Blood Weapon
    • Another low-cost blood spender GCD. (20 gauge or so)
    • Living Shadow is press and forget, it's massive potency but feels mostly powerless when you press it. Something like Enshroud that functions like Bunshin but with your Darkside would feel better.

    WAR:
    • Nerf Shake it Off.
    • Like with Power Slash being more satisfying than Souleater, replace Storm's Path with Butcher's Block.
    • Making what's essentially two different versions of bloodwhetting was unnecessary, just make it one ability again like it was in Shadowbringers
    • Make upheavel cost gauge again, as well as Onslaught
    • I don't personally feel like Inner Chaos feels good in the rotation, I'd like to see this animation changed into something else.
    • An additional ogcd would probably help burst downtime, even if not by much.

    PLD:
    • Make Goring Blade a DoT combo finisher again. It's just a boring damage button now.
    • Fuse Holy Sheltron and intervention, like Bloodwhetting and Nascent Flash, it feels unnecessary to have them both when TBN and Heart of Corundum can be applied to you or another party member.
    • I'm not a fan of Atonement as it is, but I'm not entirely sure what else that can be done with it.
    • Remove the gauge cost on Cover if you aren't going to make it as potent as it was during Stormblood.

    GNB:
    • Remove the third cartridge, increase the potency of Burst Strike and Hypervelocity to compensate.
    • Heart of Light is identical to Dark Missionary, either make it both physical and magical damage or something else. (If you make it party sustain, do NOT make it as potent as current patch Shake it Off.)
    • Maybe after executing Hypervelocity, it amps your next Burst Strike?

    I feel like I constantly see people argue for the fusing of Intervention and Holy Sheltron, and I honestly dislike the idea a lot. Unless you make it have a near-zero recast cooldown, it removes the very useful ability to weave both abilities into the same weave window. Unlike Bloodwhetting/Nascent Flash, and Heart of Corundum, and TBN, the "self-target" and "ally target" don't share a cooldown which is a very useful unique thing to have. I get that Paladin's got a lot of buttons and people want them reduced, but frankly I'd rather that reduction to happen in just about any other place and not one of the places where Paladin has a distinct difference in its use of its short mitigation buttons.

    Anyway, past that...

    I'd like to see RDM's proc system be expanded to its AOE combo (give us the last two elements of Ice and Water, please?), and to get a new 'support/utility' button of sorts. If they want RDM to be a 'support', then I want them to lean into it more; if they're not going to do that (or honestly even if they do), then buff our rDPS somehow if they're not willing to buff personal DPS. An extra raid buff, or maybe something using the PvP Shift abilities as a Dance Partner or Dragonsight style thing where we buff a party member?

    I feel like this absolute need for ‘button consolidation’ is part of the reason we’re in the design mess we’re in. The devs are the worst ones for it, too. Anything that constitutes a decision just gets squished into another ability, meaning you don’t choose anything anymore, because your 2 buttons do everything all at once lol. Look no further than healer dps. It’s perfectly optimised and it perfectly consolidates the many dps skills healers had before…but, the 10,000 post a minute threads about healers suggest to me people aren’t quite happy with having so many of their buttons all condensed into a single DoT and single nuke lol.

    Or the godsforsaken ‘Wanderer’s Minuet Pitch Perfect’ squish for absolutely no reason whatsoever. What possible reason was there to squish the song and attack together besides consolidation for the sake of consolidation? It doesn’t actually change anything, it’s just annoying lol.

    Consolidation can of course be a good thing, but it can also make things worse if not done carefully

    blm: Consolidate between the lines and leylines onto the same button
    Consolidate fire 4 and blizzard 4 onto the same button
    Something to make mana ticks more consistent in UI phases
    After using umbral soul 3 times make it freeze the UI timer so I can run in dungeons and 24 mans, roll on loot, get flushed along the sewer or ride the Pods or dance while I'm waiting for cutscene watchers.


    If I had my way I'd also ask for stronger auto attacks and to restore Enochian similar to how it worked in HW but as a personal buff without limiting access to fire 4. Just affecting damage.

    In my godworld, I'd also give Sch Quickened Aetherflow back. As a treat.

    Paladin needs an offensive use for their tank charges. Scholars need Physic 2 or some other upgrade to basic Physic. Dragoons need to merge with Midgarsormor so they can be Estinien cool all the time. Make black mage more classic black magey so we can cast all sorts of destructive elements. Make the Ninja fail rabbit into a buff. Let Samurai’s have Zenos Katana scabbard so they can have more Katanas equipped at once. Or a least a wakazashi for the offhand slot.

    NIN - I wouldn't mind if Hyosho Ranryu auto-crit , the disparity from a non crit and full crit is kinda wack ranging from 60k - 150k

    In general:
    -Action glamours. Let us use older animations over the later ones, like Stone instead of Glare or non-Heated shots for MCH. Maybe let us use animations from removed actions, like Power Slash over Souleater.

    MCH:
    -Bring back Blank Shot and Bishop Autoturret.
    -Do something with Flamethrower. Make it build the heat gauge, I dunno. Give me a reason to put it on my bars other than screwing around in town.

    WHM:
    -Delete Freecure. Have Cure 2 automatically replace Cure 1.

    BRD:
    -Some way to spread DoTs during AoE.

    RDM:
    -Stop tacking on yet another finisher after our finishers.
    -Tone down the glare on Vermilion Scourge. I have literally wiped groups with it because nobody could see what came after it.

    More interplay between jobs. Less cannibalisation of jobs for balance purposes. Focus on job fantasy that's more than just particles.

    Also, give AST its cards back.
