In my honest opinion, I dont think that CBU3 stopped caring. From the various interviews, LLs and communication we've received as well as how the game has been successful, it does feel like the devs pour a lot of work, effort and care into the product.

I just personally believe that (and this is gonna sound very harsh) its most likely the issues come from Yoshida is kinda...dumb about analyzing data and understanding whats the best course for addressing the feedback. I would say a mix of dumb, stubbornness and willingness to meet all ends even if he's aware that he cant please everyone.

I'm not saying that I can do better if I were in his position. Talk is cheap and us being gamers would easily believe that our solutions would be simple and successful upon implementation even if the answers and feedback is obvious. But this is not my job, nor anyone in the community's job. Its the producer and developer's job to take all our feedback data and use it to make the game better but I feel this has always been a bit of an issue with FFXIV from talking to people and researching previous patch content in older expansions. I guess the best compliment and assurance I can provide is that the dev team can make the game better, even if it takes for the game to start truly tanking in both scores and sales for them to double down and better listen to us. The dev team is the kind of team who would care enough to make sure it stays successful.

But for now, all we can do is just discuss and watch what their next move is. If the game starts truly sucking by then, then its our job to vote with our wallet and move on to better games. After all they're still a business and like I keep telling y'all; money talks. Sub numbers talks.
