The WoL singing can't be beat, but this is great too lol. I find the idea of the WoL being this off the wall crazy person that just happens to always save the world hilarious.

I know he makes these in a totally different engine and it's probably easier when you only have to animate the WoL and not care about other player models and all that, but it'd be so cool if our cutscenes actually had this level of "stuff happening" in them and weren't mostly just 2 cardboard cutouts staring at each other and using /handover emotes to pass invisible items between each other occasionally. It's so damn dry and wears me down even when the dialogue happens to be mildly interesting and I've never understood why this was the case when FF games are generally known in the current era for being games that create a bombastic cinematic story experiences. Hell, if you look at 1.0's cutscenes -- yeah, it bombed, and yeah, there weren't many cutscenes, but the ones they had were dynamic and interesting to watch.

I agree. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more in game cutscenes. I do think there is probably that element that what he works on is self-contained and there are a lot more moving parts in the game-cutscenes and they need to cater to a wider range of hardware. I will be interested to see if that aspect changes with the graphical upgrade.I know he makes these in a totally different engine and it's probably easier when you only have to animate the WoL and not care about other player models and all that, but it'd be so cool if our cutscenes actually had this level of "stuff happening" in them and weren't mostly just 2 cardboard cutouts staring at each other and using /handover emotes to pass invisible items between each other occasionally.
