the "go play another game" mentality

people keep telling eachother that to solve there dissatisfaction with endwalker or shb or DT is to simply go play another game.. so lets talk about this for a second.

what are some other games you think you would inspired to play instead of ffxiv. and .. if nothing changed in DT.. would you come back?

insane amounts of fomo
a rotating cash shop AND seasonal cash shop AND lootboxes (paid crate keys) AND pay "for convenience" (to win)
insane amounts of grind for every little thing you want

if true thats honestly a shame.. but i will need to look into that myself for confirmation

Literally any other game thats coming out or has came out this year.

Its surprising how much of a banger this year has been for games so people getting distracted from FFXIV to go play them is feasible

Yeah this has been a crazy year for games which is just great for everyone.

I personally am looking forward to sinking thousands of hours into cities: skylines 2 coming out next month.

BG3, MK1, and that new FATE game gonna keep me occupied so I don't get burnt out on FF14.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with going and playing another game while waiting for new content to be added to a game you already play. I think many people have put their own spin on what Yoshida has meant and I think many of them are wrong. I am trying new world but honestly that is a lagfest and the models are extremely ugly to me. The combat is not fluid to me. GWII um boring to me. I fired up BDO again yes it's a cash shop nightmare but for complex systems character and otherwise it's a spreadsheets player dream. So many different currencys and character customization is awesome. Grinding you can solo grind in a instance of your own. Up and coming games I want to try Blue Protocol is one. Do I feel disloyal to FFXIV nope, I love this game despite its faults and I have patience.
