This would be the better way to go. If they add BiS equivalents to the current raid tier's gear then Crit will still die by the next expansion unless the gear is very nice looking.

It is, but there's value in giving content a longer life too. If the devs want to tell people to take breaks and make them feel comfortable about taking breaks, then they should be doing their best to ensure that the content is still healthy enough for people to play multiple expansions later.

Criterion is not a long last content. It's should be alternative choice to gear faster. By all means it should be that way. This will help a lot with ultimates in near future due how garbage the current system is. Trust me, I try to recruit player for ultimates, it's was hard to find players due lack of a alt job gearing.The content do not need everlong last alive community like bozja/eureka/pvp content. It's just need to be a purpose. I do not understand why it's so hard to just accept certain content cannot be not everlast long community. Currently, the game lacks of midcore content and gearing issue with ultimate. Adding this will help with those issues.
