Yeah that's correct. However many branches that need to be done to complete one full run of the variant dungeon.

10 and done assuming you don't mess up any of the choices and that gives you the achievement for the regular mount.

But also could go above 10 if you're a minion hunter as the chests in crit have a chance to drop various minions or if you're hunting TT cards.


Meanwhile, Crit only has one mount that's not even as good as the one you can get from variant.

Sure, if people are into that I'd say go for it. I was really hoping that variant and criterion would provide an alternate method of gearing up, so I left it alone after one run through.

The only point of gearing for v/c is really to help future v/c runs. The ilvl requirement for ronkan is the same as p12s. You can reach that with crafted obviously, but you can't make any improvements.

Gear alone won't create lasting content though, which is an issue for content that can't be unsynced. It'll basically end up as FOMO content with gear. It needs more than that with how it's designed.

True, but it would at least give some people more incentive to do it more than once.
