    Horizontal Progression for Endgame Gear

    As a long time player, I've always had an appreciation for the end game raids and Ultimates. I would love to see the possibilities for Square Enix to implement a horizontal progression for getting gear besides the savage raids and weekly tomes.

    Some examples I've thought of but are not limited to,
    1. Alliance raids since they are 10 item levels under the best gear during the patch they are released and it would be cool for them to not be dyeable unless they are augmented, but then have the same item level as the savage raid pieces.

    2. A new next step of augmenting crafted gear such as "augmented plus", so that it is an alternate option for crafters to create gear that potentially could be as strong as savage gear depending on the substats

    3. PvP gear that has an item level similar to the raids and again can be upgraded to be as strong as the savage or tomb gear when augmented

    I think options like these can influence end game Raiders to do more than just the raids and farming weekly tones, and encourages repeated runs of the alliance raids and to even level up crafters.

    While I can't say how exactly they should readjust things, right now gear rewards outside of Savage and relics feel more lackluster then ever before.

    Despite the extension of the patch cycle, content rewards haven't been recalibrated. When the 24 mans arrive now, the average player will have more gear than ever before because they've had longer to collect tomes, more weeks to get savage rewards, and more exact gear for their job dropping thanks to coffers, so the normal 10 ilvls below current savage may be insufficient AND make the content itself even more trivial to complete upon its launch.
