Market Board RMT Sellers

Hello, I am from Twintania and everyone who Plays on a Light Server and tries to sell Glamour Items, knows that there is this one Player who owns the whole Market for Glamour Items on all Light Servers. That one Player is selling all expensive Glamour Items, extreme under Price. Just to show one example:

Calf Leather Rider's Shoes 420000 Gil / 1 Leather costs most of the time 440000+ Gil + Market Board Fees 22000+ Gil and then you need 3 Duskcoart Cloth for 2300-8000 Gil each, depending on the Server + again some Gil Market Board Fees.

I know that this Player buys on all Chaos and Light Servers Calf Leather for 420000-468000 Gil per Leather and Frontier Cloth for 60000-78000 Gil per Cloth.

And he/she sells those Items still way under the Material Prices. This Player has 2 Accounts on Zodiark with 2 Main Chars and 14 Low Level Alts (Levels between 1-27). One Main Char has only 1 DoW Job at Level 70 and the other Main Char has DoW/DoM Jobs between Level 44 and 80 (only 1 Job, which he/she could have bought for some real Money).

To show a nice example what is going on, on my Server on the Market Board right now. This is what that Player is selling:

This is a whopping 700+ Items. Those are the Items with their Names on them but since you need for that Ammount of Items atleast 35 Retainers and 1 Account can have max 10 Retainers, i think he/she has atleast 2 Accounts more. The Market Board is the largest Spot to earn Gil and sure we all could sell something else. But why? This would mean that this 1 Player could own the Market Board for many more years. If you are from one of the Light Servers, then do us all a favor and Report this Player, so that SE wakes finaly up and do something against this RMT Seller. You can Report direct under:

P.S: I Reported this Player many times and he/she is still there. Some could write now, maybe cause he is no RMT Seller. Why he/she needs Hundreds of Millions of Gil? For his Jobs for sure not.

None of what you shared would make sense for RMT.

If you know they're buying the materials off the MB at a certain price then selling the completed glamour item below the cost of those materials they purchased, they've lost gil not gained it. What are they supposed to be selling for real money?

It sounds more like someone who has made a lot of gil in the past now using that gil to make popular glamour available to players for less.

You're incorrect when you say an account can have a maximum of 10 retainers. An account with the standard subscription could have up to 400 retainers(40 characters with 10 retainers each) per physical data center. An account with the entry level subscription could have up to 80 retainers (8 characters with 10 retainers each).

As for why a player would want hundreds of millions of gil, that's up to them. Some players are curious to see just how rich they can get and they don't number their gil in the hundreds of millions. They number it in the billions. Personally I think it's crazy that SE allows players to accumulate that much when gil has so little value to actual game play but it is what it is.

I'm not going to deny that there are players engaging in RMT but I'm very doubtful the player you're talking about is one of them since they're selling at a loss if what you say is accurate.

You can report the player as often as you want but based on what you claim is happening, they're not doing anything wrong. They might be monopolizing certain portions of the marketboard related to glamour but they don't "own" the marketboard.

Just checked. Dunno if RMT but looks like it. Usually RMT bots don't sell in big batches like this though.

Anyway, the crafter has 1 main job and most crafters at max lvl. No mounts. No minions. Some bogus free company with 14 low lvl mule characters. Checked buy history of materials and this players seems to be online at bizarre times. I see it buy materials during the day but also between 3-5 AM which makes no sense for normal people.

So there ya have it. Checks most if not all boxes for RMT circle. But then again, some people have no life and are just sad like this. /shrug


PS: It's often better to report the mule characters that sell the items since those are more likely to be bots than the main crafter. Just reporting the main crafter will do nothing.

You are pretty wrong.
This Player sells since years on all Servers the same Items.
I just startet to sell those Items a short while ago and now this RMT Seller is kinda pissed about it.
This Player started 3 or 4 Days ago to drop Prices for all Items that I sell too. Like Frontier Pumps ... dropped from 83.000 Gil to right now 70.000 Gil.
Calfskin Rider's Jacket from 1.000.000 Gil to 960.000 Gil, Calfskin Rider's Shoes from 500.000 Gil to 470.000 Gil and Taoist Slops went from 185.000 Gil to 120.000 Gil.
That Player tries to push everyone of Twintania out of the Market. He doesn't play even on Twintania and he drops the prices every 24 Hours it seems.
So tomorrow the Pumps will be 65.000, the Jacket maybe 940.000, the Shoes 450.000 and the Slops 100.000 Gil I guess.
And all we can do is watching a single RMT Seller destroying our Market.
I payed for the Cloth and Leather to earn some Gil and right now there is zero Gil you can earn with those Items and that Player has already stocked his Retainers with a Bunch new Items.
So there is no Light at the end of the Tunnel.

Timeworn Map parties, FC's, and LS' are a thing, even an individual can be a map-hound.
While one can only obtain on their own via DoL jobs at a rate of one map a day, one can also obtain as many maps as they can get from trading them from other players or buying them cheaply on market boards.
It seems all the items you listed have some material that is ultimately obtained from a Timeworn Map chest, in various levels of rarity.
It would not be very hard to obtain a bulk of materials from farming Timeworn Maps, producing the glamor items from the materials, then use the proceeds to fund map harvesting, while still turning a profit.
Managed correctly, one could self-sustain a map-hound hobby this way and have a net gain in Gil.

Even if the seller is doing both, I don't see it coming out with a net gain unless the seller is also botting the maps (always a possibility). While the map bots were very obvious in Shadowbringers, I haven't seen any sign of them since start of Endwalker. Common belief seems to be they've moved from map and Eureka bunny farming to general FATE farming to buy gemstone vouchers to sell.

If there is RMT involved with the seller the OP is talking about, we're missing part of the picture.

We don't know what other characters the seller has. A lot of players set up dummy alts just to avoid potential harassment.

No Info missing here. Make a Char on a Light Server, check the Market Board for Frontier Items and Calfskin Items and then tell me which Name you see on 90% of all Items. Here a little Hint with which Letters the Names Starts:

I play on Twintania and I would never think about starting to sell my Items on the other Servers. Only RMT Sellers do this.
