Adding Alt as Friend

Few days ago, I got the idea to make an alt because I wanted to share a house with 2 differents characters

And sadly it's actually not possible to add our alts as friends

So this post is asking Square Enix to make it possible, either by auto adding alts as friends of each other,or either to make possible the fact of sending a friend request to someone disconnected.
This friend request restriction is (according to me) useless and could be removed

I would be happy with such a feature

I normally have to use another friend as a middle man to move items to my alt (mostly glam and consumables), so skipping that and being able to do it more directly would be a nice QoL

Recently have been playing BDO and im amazed how good the alts feel there in comparison to XIV. To give the general gist of it, one of the features I would like to see carried over is that you can see your alts inventory without having to switch to them, and grab items from them (with a cooldown) as long as they are not bound to the character itself

Another thing that is mostly unlikely is sharing unlocks across characters but not MSQ progression. So I can hop on dungeons or aetherites of Endwalker on a new character as I have unlocked them before. But this would drive down the MSQ skip sales, so I understand why its unlikely, unfortunately a case of "make the game worse to sell the solution" (Or in this case, keep it mediocre and sell the QoL)

Bottom line is, XIV is very alt-unfriendly, and I wish they did QoL changes to improve the experience, maybe not to the extent of making people feel like they NEED alts, but just enough to make it less of a chore

On the other hand, FFXIV is specifically designed to not require alts in the way most MMOs do. Being able to do everything on a single character means there are FAR fewer alts in general compared to other MMOs. It would be nice to see more alt friendliness added to the game, but I can also see why it's not a high priority issue for the dev team.
