Who is lashing out or trolling? You're mad because you cant flex over the plebs anymore with your contrived non-standard gameplay, I am happy that the game is being designed better. Non-standard existing by definition means the jobs aren't optimally designed. You have a regressive mentality and you're mad because you're not being pandered to anymore. A lot of the stuff I've seen about the BLM rework seems to be people cheering that the one job that has thus far escaped the cursed word 'streamline' is finally being brought down. It's kinda disgusting, like pure crabs in a bucket mentality. I don't even play BLM much, and when I do it's purely casually, but I was happy that BLM was still kicking with non-standard. I feel for 'em.

Honestly, BLM hanging on for so long gave me some hope that the dev team might know what fun gameplay looks like, but then they destroyed BLM.

To be fair, it's still kind of up in the air what the changes actually mean for BLM. But it's extremely telling of what kind of community SE has fostered with these design principles, that are supposed to reduce friction between players ironically enough, that when these changes are announced, people will read them in the worst way possible and cheer for another job to "fall in line", because screw anyone for actually enjoying the gameplay.

You act like it's not the norm to want to enjoy every job eventually. People are put off from engaging with jobs because of their current design and celebrate the changes because it means they are able to engage in them.

At the end of the day though, if you're maladaptive and can't embrace change your opinion doesn't really matter.

What's really annoying about these people is that they come in and say "This job sucks", so you ask them why it sucks, then they proceed to say that X sucks because of Y and then they describe a very wrong way of playing the job, so you tell them that they're playing the job wrongly and this other way is the correct way, and then they hit you with "Well then, the job is clearly badly designed, they should make it so that it's impossible to play the job wrongly".

And that's how you get stale design.
