    Actually, the issue is the storyline wasn't implemented well in any regard. Just compare it to FFXI's storylines, you didn't need to level in order to even accept them, you needed to be x level to do some of the fights, but most mission fights were usually level 25-50, with the final being at 75 for everything else up until Abyssea.

    They could easily incorporate the storyline without making it a means to throw you to end-game. In XIV you had to be x level to even do missions that were no more than talk to 2 NPCs, that has nothing to do with progression, it was poor implementation.

    The storyline and its quests should carry you all the way to 50. But it should not be as simple as talking to 2 NPCs for a single quest, agreed.

    In the interview it is said you can gain up to level 20 through contents such as quests so I think it's more of not to enjoy leveling but you gain the level while you are adventuring the world.
