I'm starting to think this game is just old and SE has seen the writing on the wall, so they're doing their best to dress up the corpse and keep you all paying before sending it to pasture for FFXVIII.
People have been arguing a lot of these same issues for years and years, including Xenos. It seems obvious to me the core audience is mostly condoning the devs because they're locked into a trance of passive acceptance. It's like, "well I like the story or X other thing so I may as well defend the game". That's why when he criticizes it he is quick to say "oh but it's fine don't get rid of X thing I just insinuated is bad". Even when people criticize they have to sort of back away from the criticism bc the attack force will come to get them and also, in the back of our minds, don't we all know the team is making all the bad decisions they are making with some imaginary audience they have in mind that will sustain the game?
No one wants to believe Yoshi P and co are purposely turning the game into an autopilot Solo play disaster on purpose because not only does it mean that they are flawed but also it means even the most dedicated player is just a number.

It's not that they're nerfed, powercreep + high ilvl sync broke them. If you try to do any of those with synced minilvl they are still fun at the very least. Game progression when queueing feels worse than how it really should be because of this. You'll get paired with people with higher total ilvl than you and most instances aren't properly adjusted for it.
I just came back to see if any other replies of substance were made since I posted and this got likes? lolI'm starting to think this game is just old and SE has seen the writing on the wall, so they're doing their best to dress up the corpse and keep you all paying before sending it to pasture for FFXVIII.

Yeah, sure, square-enix sees the writing on the wall for the 2nd most popular MMORPG on the market, which recently got a massive influx of players which caused them to run out of CD keys and necessitated more server space, and is now soon getting XBox support.
The major criticisms about the game from veteran players at the moment is that they want to be able to play it more than they already do.
All of these are signs of a dying game which will soon be put on life support, clearly
If this is the kind of nonsense which gets likes then clearly the forums are not a place for worthwhile discussions about this game.
