I'd say pick one job you want to level, then proceed to get it to 30, as well as the other class required for the quest to 15 so you can unlock your job. Then, work on taking your main job to 50. Reason being, there's a lot of content in this game that won't be possible after 2.0, and you'll need a level 50 job to take full advantage of it. Once you have your 50, however, I do encourage you to level up the rest of your stuff more or less evenly, so you can take full advantage of cross-class abilities.
It depends on your endgame job/role. Which class could supplement.
If a Bard, I recommend Conjurer up to 34.
My second recommendation, leveling up at another class you find fun or conceptually intriguing.
I wouldn't worry about stretching too thin. the classes are fun to play, and really you want to experiment to find out which one you like best.
if you want to level them all at once, that's up to you. it might be better since you can share gear between the classes for the most part. you'll be well prepared to handle any situation if you can play any class. so there are pros and cons to focus and diversification.
