The games were over in less than two minutes because the balanced group just absolutely steamrolls the DPS team. Whether I was on the winning or losing team, as I've been on both now, it's just super boring and not at all fun. It seems to happen more frequently than it feels like it should, and I was just curious if this is something that's normal or if I've just had bad luck. If this is common, feels like I was right to avoid PvP for my playstyle and I don't think I'll be revisiting it much. Maybe it's just the queue trying to reduce wait times by being agnostic of roles?

Don't get me wrong, this isn't really a complaint, but if that stuff is normal I don't think I'd enjoy that mode so I was just hoping to hear some others' experience before I decide to write that component of the game off.
Probably bad luck, as the system generally tries to balance this out (roles, then job type), but sometimes it just shits the bed bad.

Perhaps better to try out a bit more to get a higher sample.

But yes, you're running and uphill battle if your team is not balanced when the opponent is. It's not unwinnable, but it can be a pain. Although it depends of what type of imbalances you had. A team full of frontliners will be fine imo. A team full of ranged and support will just get crushed.
