Most people do not understand how software development works, much less a videogame. They tink can come to this forum, ask something random, and being immediately put in the game in the next patch. Then get angry because not happen and call lazy to others.

Anyone with an ounce of comprehension can tell that people aren't calling the actual devs who create the game lazy. The issue lies somewhere in the leadership. SE is not a small indie company. They have NO excuse for treating their biggest cash cow like they have been - more and more time between patches and barely any worthwile new content.

I don't know where the problem lies. Maybe they're resting on their laurels because the game grew very quickly during covid lockdown. Maybe it's just a cynnical business decision because they know they don't even have to try. Just put more stuff on the Mog Station. Doesn't matter it's basically just ARR gear you can't even dye, people will buy it and then flock to attack everyone who dares criticize the Mog Station.

Personally, the state of the game right now makes me sad. I'm an officer in a small-ish FC. Our officer team is doing our best to create all kinds of events for our memebers to keep them engaged and build our little community. However, doing that has been getting increasingly more and more difficult. As new content grows sparse, people's interest in the game is waning. I haven't seen most of our FC online in months at this point. Another year with this content drought won't help. I don't want to think about how many of those people will have moved on from the game by the time Dawntrail comes out. I just think it says a lot that our most popular FC events now are out of game activities.

I used to be in love with XIV. I desperately want to love it still, but it feels like it's actively trying to push me away.

I enjoy real grindy content lol that's why final fantasy 11 is still the best, and why I enjoy many games because I love hardcore grinding for items and things so long as the grind is worth it.

Relic weapons just arent worth the effort they all like so shitty looking compared to primal weapons or just some dungeon drops

also see is like a billon dollar + company lol as for playing other games, tbh it would be okay if other games were worth a fuck lol, 99.9% of modern games arent worth even 20 cents with what they give us lol, also we have every right to make demands because look at how great the other old final fantasy are 10 and below are god tier games lol
