Obvious snark/attack posts aside, the argument to "just quit and come back later" is extremely tiring to hear. There's no fruitful discussion on either ends when it's just a shouting match with people's ear duct taped to their own little world.

The positive with the previous expansions was that there was *an option* to grind out things if you wanted to, players were given the choice to put on their running shoes and get on the wheel. HW had diadem 1.0(it was bad, trust me I hated it too), stormblood had eureka and shadowbringers had bozja, they were all relatively accessible content that let players grind out what they wanted, be it for gil, relic, etc. EW has none of that, it doesn't give players that option.

I'm speaking for myself here, but I'm sure other players will resonate that we're not asking for a 24/7 grind, we're asking for something to do. I love this game, really I do but I'm so disheartened by the fact that basically my entire FC has quit(although they're still playing ff11 for some reason), my friends list is getting more and more disparity between those who are online and those who are not. And its all for the same reason, theyre bored and tired of the same formula that offers them no real entertainment value. I'm not asking for a complete wow factor in between patches, but something that'll hold attention for more than just a day or extended further than just doing roulettes and then logging off.

As for the last paragraph, while it is your opinion for players to slow down, your scale/speed doesn't apply to everyone. I also started in Nov 2014, EW released in Dec 2021 and I got all my level 90s in Nov 2022, nearly 1 full year after. To me, that is as casual gameplay as I could do, the only thing I grinded out quickly was leveling my healers for raid.

So I'll ask this for those people who say "just take a break and come back", if your gameplay pace is slow enough that you have a backlog of things to do and are happy with the game, what's wrong with players who are asking for more? It doesn't hurt you in the long run and will just add more things to do. There's no downsides of people being critical and wanting to play, because deep down, they still do care. They're loud because they want to see the game continue to thrive so dismissing their discontent so easily with just "lol take a break" is at worst, just rude and at best, hand-waving.
