Issues with Hunting Log

I'm unable to progress my hunting log on a different class than the one I started. My starting class archer/bard and now I'm trying to progress my Astrologian class.

When I open my hunting log it immediately pulls to my archer/bard class even though I'm already equipped and set as an Astrologian. There are no swirly hunting marks above any Little Ladybugs and the log shows 0/3 no matter how many I kill. I've logged in/out multiple times and am at Rank 3 for the Archer Hunting Log as it stands now.

I'd like to quickly level this class by going thru the hunting log and for some quick XP and any help would be appreciated

The hunting log only exists for classes, not jobs. They discontinued the concept of classes in Heavensward and onwards.

Astrologian being a Heavensward job has no class, and therefore no hunting log.

Only ARR classes have hunt logs that only those jobs can get credit for. Your Grand Company hunt log however can be done on any battle class. They stopped adding hunt logs to HW and beyond jobs as most people didn't do any or most of the class specific ones. As the Grand Company ones are needed to be done in order to rank up.

There is no hunting log for AST.

The hunting log is a 2.0 relic that never moved forward into the expansions. That's why it stops at level 50 and it only available for the ARR classes.

The other things you can do are...

• Kill enemies to level 7-8.
• FATEs.
• Beast tribe dailies.
• Daily hunt bills (level 50 and up from the hunt board, requires to rank up your GC).
• Leves (up to level 59).
• Leveling/Guildhest roulette then others from level 50.
• Job quests.

sadly hunting log was completely abandoned when heavensward came out (which disappointing because its actually enjoyable) so only ARR jobs and the grand company has one

An expanded hunting log is one of my dreams. Sadly, it will never be.
