Character state transfer (legacy)

I understand this is a very niche issue, but I still wanted to bring it up as something that could possibly be addressed.

It is currently not, due to technical reasons, possible to transfer the legacy status of a character to another character. It is also not possible to transfer the progress/state of a post ARR character to an existing legacy character.

I am hopeful that one day these could be made possible as personally I do have a legacy character but when ARR was launched I made a new character and have since spent all my time gaming on that character.

Again, I understand that this is a very niche issue but I am hoping that some sort of resolution to it might be possible in the future.

This likely won't be possible not due to technical limitations but due to the fact that's not how the game is designed by intent.
Each character is their own story.

I understand that fully and I've for that reason avoided playing on any alts. Preferring to only play on the one character.

However, I do have the legacy character and well, at this point would like to play with that legacy status, but I've put so much time into my current character that it feels almost wasteful to not put my in game time onto that one.
Hence my hope that some form of state transfer might be possible, at some point.

Out of curiosity, why did you choose to only play the new character when ARR launched instead of also continuing to play your legacy character?

I don't see why not just play the legacy character if you want the prestige.

Just make it a raiding alt or something.
