I don't really see the purpose of fatigue. even if it's an option. it defeats the purpose of 'rested' XP as well. what happens if you have rested XP and fatigue activates? it clashes.

and why do you want to level slower? I've been moving pretty slowly in my levels, i played for roughly 10 hours last weekends and got maybe 10 levels on my CNJ. i ran around, i quested, i killed some NMs on my pug when i ran into them. enjoy the scenery. plenty of ways to slow down level and enjoy the game without some odd mechanic that doesnt' make a whole lot of sense.

i equate this with making a gear damage toggle. why? everyone would just turn it off because 99% of people find it annoying when their crap breaks and they have to stop, repair it, and then can get back to w/e they were doing.

Here is teh thing, YOU ran around. I like to play with people, sorry.

Also, rested xp, you can stillg et it, you will just gain a little more exp? I don't see your problem.

Gear damage should be turned off, it's silly and has no impact on anything.

the problem is that you're asking for an optional toggle that absolutely nobody will use. Can we let this thread die now?

People will turn it on if you give them the right initiative. I know, plenty of people that would turn it on.

Somehow I doubt that. the problem is that it's optional. I'm all for a slow leveling pace, although all of my DoW/DoM jobs are capped and I won't reroll just to level again. There is merit to the argument that slower leveling is more fun. But leveling pace MUST be applied in the same way to everyone. Nobody in their right mind would choose to intentionally level more slowly than their friends. That is where your suggestion falls apart. This game is based heavily on the community. Your suggestion implies that we all play the game in a vacuum, or that we all level solo only opting to group up once we've hit 50. It won't work, nobody will use it given an option as simple as a toggle switch, to level faster.

I think I have the perfect compromise that would satisfy both the OP and everyone else: merit parties!

Those who like leveling can do it (and get permanent stat bonuses for each class). Those who don't like leveling can focus on other things.

It doesn't have to be stat bonus, could be something else.

But the levels I was talking about were the hidden Fatigue levels you got.
