Help for a friend trying to play FFXIV on a mac.....

Well ive raved about FFXIV so much my friend who owns a mac is desperate to play...he's installed the game with no probs,using Wineskin, hes bought his content id etc but when he tries launching the game he keeps getting an error saying
"Programme Error: The programme ffxivgame.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how he can get the game working so he can join me???

well he got the game working , played for a bit tried to change the screen size and when he's tried to log back in its back to the same error....
