Server Stability

For the past few months I have been sitting silently through constant disconnections the famous 30002. They are now happening a lot more frequently to the point were it's impossible to play the game. Before anyone says do this do that, it's not my connection, my connection doesn't drop out, and I have tested it on other internet connections/providers and different computers and it's always the same. Either way this isn't meant as a technical support thread (because they don't seem to get a reply anyway). It's a simply thread stating that myself and a lot more players are experiencing this.

Please Yoshi get this issue fixed because it's clearly not a player issue it's a Square Enix server issue. I encourage other players to post if they are getting this issue also.

I don't know sargatanas, but my server kick me out almost never. You should consider having a problem on your end.

Yes, me and other players in our LS have been getting some really weird connection issues and crashes (not sure if they happened before the server merge or only after that). Some people are getting constant crashes (every few minutes, impossible to do anything) or R0. The weirdest situations have been when me and my husband are playing with same connection and one of us is getting constant R0 while the other has no issues at all (and this has happened to both of us). And at least one LS member has had this issue on one character while playing another character just fine on the same computer.

I don't know what this is about but it's really frustrating. Doesn't happen all the time but often enough. It's impossible to do any events or even EXP leves like this.

I also have random 30002 disconnects. In fact, as I am typing this I have had my 4th 30002 disconnect today ( People in my LS also having this issue). I have played XIV with two different routers and have had the same issue with both. It makes crafting/leves or just general gameplay completely frustrating.

When I started playing this game last February I did not have the frequency of disconnects that I am experiencing recently. I have not made any changes whatsoever to my setup and forwarding ports bears no results whatsoever.

Fingers crossed that this issue will be resolved soon.

Yeah Taika I've heard similar stories from other players also. The worst is that some players like myself exhaust all options spending money on new routers, getting engineers to check out the connection and still no results. If only SE would say look there is an issue with the servers, we are trying to fix it, or it won't be possible till 2.0 I could live with that. 5 minutes before this post my friend playing on an Internet connection in another town dropped from the game at the exact same time as me, and this isn't the first time it's happened that we both got disconnected.

All of a sudden today on sargatanas i've been having particularly worse connection issues where i'm consistant jumping up and down between disconnecting and not. Seems other people were complaining about it as well in /shout and in my ls.

Best thing you can do is if you know how to monitor your net traffic see if anything is fluctuating weirdly. Even if one can say "but everything else work!" think about this: Even if you have a shoddy net connection you can still stay connected to and use Skype, as well as any other programs yet regular net browsing won't work. This problem I don't have currently but whenever I do get a D/C spree it's almost always due to ISP settings based on what I've found out.

The routing of some ISPs to Japan is in such an odd route that a lot actually pass through the eastcoast (which is being battered atm) then europe then on it's way to Japan. SE will always state if there's a problem with servers or it's stability or everything is crashing outside of wards because no one would be able to connect or stay connected to the servers, so there's a good possibility there's ISP issues atm, I know I've been having unrelated XIV disconnect issues lately.

Me and everyone in my LS from the UK get kicked from the server all the time and very often
Right now 3 of us havent been able to stay in game for more than a minute with out getting server error ... i think it is been this way for about 1 hour now. I think it depends from where you live.
I hope they fix it soon.

Same happened to a LS member from Finland today (not to our other EU members though, and we had no one from UK online at the time).
