Idea: reduce poetics needed for aether oil for hw relic

I\\'m working on hw relic and it needs 5 aether oils. I know poetics can be farmed. However the second method which made it easier I forgot they removed.

Which was gift of the archmagus.

I honestly think they need to tweak required poetics on the aether oil. It\\'s 350 per and would make sense if you still had that repeatable quest. Since we don\\'t though. Lower poetics on the oils by at least 100.

Again I get it, easy to get poetics. I don\\'t quite wanna sit in queue though to farm a decent amount of poetics just to get all 5 super quick.

I also get these were meant to be farmed but as they glam gear. They need major adjustments across the board, especially the poetics items.

The poetic cost and amounts got nerfed many times for old relics, including the HW relic.

The entire point of these relics grinds, when they were current, was for them to be... a grind. That's why, it's a grind. You are meant to earn it and when people see you with this weapon, they know how much work you put into it.

Yeah I'm done with that step on them all and they really should reduce it since they just removed the alternate way to get them instead of putting something in to replace it.

While having to earn poetics isn't the end of the world, this seems like a reasonable request since the alternative method has been removed.

But presuming that they won't change this, my advice (which is too late to help you this time) is to buy things like this every time you find yourself capping on Poetics. My chocobo's saddlebag is filled with more materials than I'll ever need to make any Anima weapons whenever I get the inkling to do so.

It's true the relic did get nerfed many times. The amount of tomes is fine. Depending on your process, try working on a couple relics at once. I always used the poetics on HW relics items. So by the time in ready to work on a relic, I always have everything. They basically fall in my pocket. Once I have every relic, I'm not going to have anything usual to spend poetics on. I actually hate this currency.

Taking the current expansion relics out of the equation, anima weapons are the easiest relics already. You can get almost everything you need via poetics passively while doing other stuff in game.
Plus there's currently the moogle tome event going on. Go out and grind a little, it won't hurt you.

Just one MSQ roulette gives you 350 poetics…that’s not counting tomes for doing the dungeon + possible 100 extras if you get a new person in your group (up to 600 total if you get Prae). I cap them in no time doing roulettes. Pretty much everything below lvl 90 duties gives poetics.
