Oh, this again.
Lemme explain this for you.
You spent an hour or more shouting for people to do ONE instance. It takes longer to get people together, then you have the run to the dungeon.
Along the way one person says sorry I have to go, kids need me or other reasons..so now you dont have a player and you go back to the city and start all over. By which time more than two hours have passed and you STILL dont have enough people, then the ones who were with you have to go to work or go log off to do other things, so they drop out and here you are, back at square one.
By the end of the day you have wasted an entire day and gotten NOWHERE as people are busy.
The average gamer is now in their 30s or older, job, family, work, kids, responsibilities, and they dont have the time to waste on that kind of futile idiocy. Forget getting one done during the day as people are at work or have kids to look after, or they work shifts, are asleep or elsewhere. During the day nightworkers are ASLEEP, no one works 9-5 anymore, part shifts, split shifts, 12 hour shifts, forget asking WFH staff to play as they are AT WORK and cant take time to play a game as they will get fired.
"But its after 5pm people will be at home" - no they wont.
Nurses shifts START after 3pm, network techs work on call and be called away at any time, emergency staff work on call, rescue teams and firefighters are on call 24/7, and even WITH office workers they finish at 6 or later, have their commute and by the time they get home they are tired, fed up, hungry, their family needs them FIRST and the game will have to wait.
"We can play after 7pm" - no you cant, time after work is short and they have other problems plus they need to get to sleep by 10 or 11 as they have work the following day........
OF COURSE its easy its meant to be, how ELSE do they get their mogstones, or MSQ runs..no one..NO ONE..has that kind of time to waste any more. WHY should it be hard to get into dungeon content?making it too easy to just enter and do dungeon content.
Dungeon Finder and Party Finder are now universal tools used across all MMO's, almost without exception.
The day of gamers being pimplefaced teenies with time to waste is over.
Done.
"The community" is doing just fine. Im sorry you dont like it, but this is modern gaming design, to cope with modern times and modern community requirements.
