Also make overworld mobs be really aggressive and hard to intice players to be in parties for safety and if theyre not overleveled or are not skilled enough to evade multiple mobs.

Add in airships and boats to travel to most major hubs and have it be on a schedule and also a place where players hang around and interact on the ride and even fish or play some minigames to pass the time.

Kinda half kidding with this because obviously most people would just hate this but to be honest at this point I think FFXIV could use with some QoL prunning (not counting QoL UI ofcourse) if we want for the game to be fun and exciting to play. At least for me
Some QoL you can prune for yourself, such as teleporting. I have a friend who creates leveling challenges for himself on a regular basis. Can't teleport, can only slow walk, only equips quest rewards, etc.

Give it a try if you think doing those types of things will make the game more for fun for you. Let's not inflict on it everyone who likely feel differently. While there's a short period that traveling through a new area of the world does feel good that way, it doesn't last long. It especially doesn't last once you get into the repetitive end game.
