    Think my semi ghetto cap setup without darklight is:

    Double melded int hat +36 int
    Triple melded gloves +50 str
    Flame Sergeants Tabard +10 str
    Flame Sergeants Sash
    Flame Sergeants Bracelets +7 int
    Double melded Felt Trousers +19 vit +21 str
    Rubelite Ring +1 18 str
    Zircon Ring +1 18 int

    Main problem is accuracy isn't that great for certain fights. With a triple meld hat you can swap in an acc ring which would help. This is also assuming you have access to GC gear from Uldah.

    I take the opportunity of this thread cause today i got the Giantsgall claws, that i melded with a +18 str materia.
    I was wondering if it could be a better choice than ifrit's claw ?
    These giantsgall have 1less base dmg and -0.3 dps, but they give 5 int 18 str (and acc+10), and that could help me reaching the cap :x

    Just wanted to say any MNKs from Ul'dah, the Lieutenant hat gives +40 INT which is extremely nice as you don't have to worry about a double/triple INT meld. The downside is that it is Sanction-based but I've gotten used to getting it before I leave town. You can get it at any city now or buy the sanction scroll.

    Well, i'm not going to triple meld an INT head when i already have DL eyepatch. With my current setup i get 351 str and 300 int with food.

    DL eye 20INT
    Serpent Officer body 10STR 10INT
    AF legs 10STR 3INT
    AF feet 3INT
    Triple STR+50 gloves.
    2 HQ Str Rings 36STR
    HQ INT bracelets 4INT
    Eft steak for the extra 7INT

    Now, i could swap out the AF legs with a double meld INT leg but it would have to be +20. I would also lose 10 STR that would have to be made up. However, food could make up 7 of that, leaving me at 310 INT and 348 STR. Worth it?

    Keep in mind that i also want to get the DL Caligae at some point, which would be 3 more int lost from AF boots.

    You can also pick up int elsewhere. Since you're Grid GC, the Jackboots have 10 int, the belt has 3, and the earring has 4. That'll put you up a good bit.
