xp is so easy to come by that deleveling is useless
Played XI, didn't care for de-leveling then.. won't today, as I'm sure most others wouldn't either.
No please. Hated that in XI
Honestly, I'm on the fence about it. It had both good and bad features. Games that punish stupidity and recklessness usually have a much smarter and cautious userbase, while it was easily avoidable in FFXI if you actually did any kind of merit parties.
There's gear damage for that. Repairs can be done while in town, while losing exp causes people to take on stupid attitudes to absolutely guarantee success. You're trading one brand of stupidity for another. FFXI proved this VERY easily.
The only reason it might cause issues is because repair costs don't scale with gear damage. A repair NPC will charge you 5000 gil per lv50 item regardless of whether its at 8% or 98%.
Kindly donate to the "Duelle needs tank earrings but the damn price keeps going up" Fund. Donations can be done in person or by mail. :OI wish I had a fear of dying to be honest.. Have too much gil that repairs don't put a dent into it.
PS: I vote "No" to losing exp upon death. Things are fine as they are. Go complain about something that might actually hurt us if left unfixed.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
I wish I had a fear of dying to be honest.. Have too much gil that repairs don't put a dent into it.. and I don;t lose exp for dying.. While I don't particularly like the Idea of Deleveling, but I do think this game needs a better Death Penalty so it gets people not caring if their character dies or not, when they can just Return and come back.
