Just a thought off the top of my head.

Anyone have multiple characters to one account and either have to make a free company to trade or.habe someone be an in between? I thought of an idea.

A localized bank in each main city. Its set to the actual account you have and anything you deposited items or Gil can be accessible between any character. I doubt it will ever happen but figured I'd post something to hear yalls thoughts on the matter!!

A personal bank for moving currency and items between your alts should absolutely be a thing. But unfortunately SE refuses to give players basically QOL features. SE apologists will tell you that it's it's to combat RMT and botters and that you shouldn't be playing alts but that's just speculation and simping for big corpo. People doing illegal things operate on bothered while honest players are inconvenienced and just have to live with it.

True. But why not have alt characters lol. Maybe I beat game got bored and restarted lol. Maybe I have a character all crafting and I don't wanna do that again lol and ones inventory is fill of crafting stuff. SE just doesn't understand

Yeah wish they had something like bdo where you have a "Family" that all alts are apart of and can share damn near everything, money, housing, market, gear, mounts, etc. SE should definitely have all alt per server share at the very least housing and some kind of inventory.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a quality of life change but only ones to really utilize would either be players who flip houses or gil bots. Rest would depend if the person wants to send some gil to a registered alt of theirs

It's already trivial (and has been pretty much since the beginning) for sellers to move gil through FCs, and mannequins made it even easier. There's really no good argument for the current restrictions that make transfers between characters such an annoying production.

There really is no good argument for it. Honestly, the only thing that significantly hampers gil sellers and doesn't hamstring players is the inability to mail people other than on your friends list. Everything else falls into the problem that there is nothing that a single determined and wealthy player can't get around.

Yeah, but that still results in 2 or 3 million just disappearing. So...yeah, congrats, you've mildly inconvenienced gil sellers.

YES!!! They literally make us PAY EXTRA for the "privilege" of having more than one character per server. The least they can do is let us trade between our own characters.

A common suggestion is to put items in your FC's company chest and then have your alt take them out. But that's only practical if basically no one but you is doing that. If you had a lot of people doing this kind of thing all the time, it would be chaos. People would be taking other another player's items, either by accident or purpose. And what are you gonna say? You put it in the FC chest, if it's in there it's for people to take.

What I do when I want to send items to my alt is put them on the market board for 1 gil and IMMEDIATELY log out and log on the alt to buy them. It's risky, because another player could potentially buy them, but I haven't had a problem with it so far.

To "send gil," I basically do the opposite exchange. Have the character who needs money put some worthless item on the market for a high price, and then have the other character buy it. Yeah, you lose out on some of the gil due to the market tax, but what else can I do?

Every other MMO has some kind of account vault or a way to send items to other characters. FFXIV not having it is just BS. It doesn't matter that the game is designed to only play on one character, when a lot of players do have alts anyway.

Maybe a dumb question, but... why would a gil seller care to move gil between alts if the alts are all tied to the same account? How is that productive for them? Why would they bother making multiple characters on the same account at all? I imagine when Squeenix bans a gil seller, they ban the whole account not and just the one character.
