One Life for One World NEEDS to be fixed

While I think there are a lot of issues with ARR and I found Heavensward was a big improvement, there is one mission that is unforgivable and the dev team must fix this mission immediately.

One Life for One World's last fight must be redone! Having a floating prompt with no indication of what you are supposed to do is not acceptable gameplay! There is nothing we've done prior to prompt the player to select a floating prompt with nothing associated with it to further the mission before the Warriors of Dark perform their spell.

I hate missions that waste the player's time with misleading objectives and this is one of the worst sins I have seen the development team put on the player.

My message to the devs: fix the mission or remove the mission's fight!

If this is not the right avenue to pass feedback to the developers, please let me know.

This is one of the places to pass feedback to the developers, though you won't get a response.

With respect to the quest, in what way did you find it misleading? The cutscene before the second battle tells us what we're supposed to do - channel aether into the Blade of Light. By this point in the MSQ, there have been a number of quests that included interacting with an object for the duration of a cast timer as a way to fulfill the quest objective. The phrasing might be different from other quests that we've had but it's still the same basic action being requested. It shouldn't be difficult to understand that this means interact with the Blade of Light object when it appears during the battle.

If you didn't watch the cutscene, then your confusion is a bit more understandable. You'd be lacking the information about how you and the Scions are intended to defeat the Warriors of Darkness. Just as general advice, make certain to pay attention to cutscenes that occur at the start or in the middle of these solo instanced encounters as they may give hints about what to do besides just thrash the enemy.

You're the first I've seen to call this encounter misleading, even among those players that habitually skip cutscenes. Usually the complaints have been for one of two things:

Trying to know when the Blade of Light is active and finding it in the middle of all the spell effects. Alisaie calls for aether a few seconds before the object will appear in front of her. Move next to her once she asks for it. To make it easier to find the Blade of Light the second and third time it spawns, attach a Sign to it the first time it spawns before you begin channeling. The sign will still be attached when it reappears the second and third times making it very easy to spot and target.

Trying to complete the channel without getting interrupted by the enemy. The trick to this is simple though a little counter intuitive . Ignore the Warrior of Darkness until you've completed the third channel. Most of his attacks are very weak so you can ignore them. The only ones to avoid are those with ground indicators. Once Alisaie calls for you to channel, one of the Scions will switch to attacking the Warrior of Darkness. The less damage you have dealt to the Warrior of Darkness, the easier it is for them to gain enmity and become his target, leaving you free to channel.

There's nothing wrong with an encounter that requires a little thinking instead of pure brute force. There will be more in this same vein as the MSQ continues. Some are more difficult on the combat side; others are more difficult on the thinking side. None of them are hard as such once you have figured out what you need to do and the game will give you clues if there's anything other than normal combat involved.

Considering One Life for One World has been part of the game for almost 7 years now, I don't expect the developers to make any further changes to it.
