Castrum Novum H-1 spawn system

Clear out the lake area Garleans (within the wall), NOT including the magitek that is also in the area. Once all the Garleans are dead the H-1 will spawn. Happy hunting!

Suggestion: During the daytime there are some wolves and other magiteks that spawn in the area right outside of the lake. It is safer to hunt these at night time.

YEA THAT THING KICKS YOUR ASS, havent figured out a good strategy yet :/ or is it really just doable with more than one pt?

We've done it with a full PT + 2 (Myself on PLD and a WHM), so I'm sure it's possible with the right setup. I believe the main PT was PLD DRG BRD WHM x2 BLM x3. Main thing to watch out for is the big attack around 40-50%, otherwise your main concern will be dealing with hate resets.

We've attempted to kill them one by one. It doesn't spawn that way. Only way we've successfully gotten it to spawn 100% of the time is by clearing out the lake as stated in my previous post. You're welcome to try for yourself, however.

Yeah, we have. We thought it was relevant to the Prius as he doesn't seem to be up when there're two Vanguards. There's also one Vanguard which shares the same 'return' line as the H-1 itself so I'm assuming that these three mobs share a PH.

You don't have to kill the Vanguard to get it to pop.

this is how the forum is supposed to be used in my opinion, players working together and helping each other ^~^
