We've attempted to kill them one by one. It doesn't spawn that way. Only way we've successfully gotten it to spawn 100% of the time is by clearing out the lake as stated in my previous post. You're welcome to try for yourself, however.

Yeah, we have. We thought it was relevant to the Prius as he doesn't seem to be up when there're two Vanguards. There's also one Vanguard which shares the same 'return' line as the H-1 itself so I'm assuming that these three mobs share a PH.

That being said, wiping everything out gets it majority of the time

On two occasions, the Magitek Vanguard H-1 popped 1 second after we killed 1 Imperial. I don't remember the Imperial surname but I also don't think it was a coincidence either.

We've done it with a full PT + 2 (Myself on PLD and a WHM), so I'm sure it's possible with the right setup. I believe the main PT was PLD DRG BRD WHM x2 BLM x3. Main thing to watch out for is the big attack around 40-50%, otherwise your main concern will be dealing with hate resets.
