Multishell Materia Melding and Craft Fair

History: The folks from Fabul had a great concept, a multishell craft fair. We managed to have this happen once or twice on Balmung but it sort of petered out. This week the pearl was disbanded for it. However the Explorers really really want to keep this thing going. If Abbadon doesn't have time to lead this we are happy to take the lead.

Ideas: Specifically I want to bill this as a materia melding and crafting fair.
Time: I am thinking Sunday's. What do you all think?

In case you all are out of the loop, we've changed the focus of the craft/materia fair to align with the needs of the relic weapon quest. By reading the posts in this thread, you can see how we determined the most streamlined way to complete the quest. I'll keep this post updated with the mats we need most along with other useful info related to the event.

Molly and I have talked in game. We have a new shell for the event. In the US it is Mother's Day so this might not be the best week to restart things. I am thinking next week.
I know that I am a 49 weaver but I constantly want materia melds for things like gsm. My plan is to stand around and weaver meld anything anyone wants that I can.

Maxious came up with a great idea for the fair. Here's his idea, copied from the Abaddon forums:

We've gotten allot more members for the Crafting Ls since launch and the only thing were doing right now are melding and exp crafting. Idk if Della has access to this forum so, we all could chat with her in Ls whenever shes on. I would like to suggest that we take a different approach/goal for this crafting Ls. The goal is to make those new gears and with this many members, we could gather the matts pretty fast. The only thing that I'm kinda stuck on is how are we going to distribute the completed gears meaning "who gets what". We could chat with Della and with everyone in the crafting Ls to come up with a way to make it fair for everyone. I do have some ideas on how to gather/craft the gears of the week and the goals for each member participating with the gathering.

Example:

Craft of the week:
-Darksteel weapon: (Mailbreaker)

Material Quota:
-Darksteel Ores +1 X (5-10)
-Coke X (1-2)
-Rose Gold Nuggets +1 X (5-10)
-Hippogryph Leather X (5-10)

*** So if we have around 15-20 members gathering these matts we would have a butt load of materials to start pumping out these finished Items

*** I would like to know everyone's opinion on this

Let me know what you think Della, as well as if you have any ideas for distributing completed gear. My suggestion would be to keep a public list somewhere of what people have provided and when, then start from the top down. Those that provided the most mats and helped craft parts would be first and move on down the list until everyone has at least one piece, then start at the top again for the second piece etc.
