I agree that these raids were some of the best in the game. Part of it is probably how approachable the Bozja ones were too. The most casual players could enter them and mechanics were only telegraphed once, so if you didn't use your head then you would die to them.
What I really liked about CLL was how casual players could just do the raid like it's an alliance raid, but 8 confident players would take on Lyon. This is a concept that could be extended even to alliance raids. Have 16 players get carried through the easier fight and have 8 people do a savage-like fight nearby with high stakes. Eventually some casual players will end up in a situation where there are 7 confident players and 17 not-confident players, and one of them will have to step up. They will go at it and realize they can do this harder content and it becomes more accessible that way.
Another thing that was a good middleground was only telegraphing everything once. It allows casual players to understand what it is going on if they pay attention, but doesn't handhold them too much. There was also the method used in Anamnesis Anyder and subsequent dungeons where the attacks are not telegraphed until it's too late, so that you still have to learn to anticipate some of them based on the animation, which is preferable.
As for grinding in these areas, I suppose I am just old school in that farming enemies with 1-3 attacks in a relaxing environment with decent music is fun to me, if there is a fixed end to my grind such as reaching a level cap or getting a certain amount of clusters. And I agree about the social aspect in Eureka between NMs. It's a big part of what is lacking in EW with the degree of solo or small-scale raid content. Although not as much as Eureka, you could at least chat in Shadowbringers in the Bozja raids, DR or occasionally the field areas, but we're just missing that entirely now except in alliance raids and at hunts.
