Network Configuration

I do not know if this has been posted before, but I need help configuring my game to run on a university internet connection. I've installed the game, but every time i launch it the updater appears. It gets to the point where it says it is downloading updates, but no progress is ever made and it just sits at 0%. I am currently playing on a connection at Drake University, which for most things is really nice since i get about 10-40 megabits downspeed. I have however encountered similar problems with utorrent and another SE game, Fantasy Earth Zero. Any help would be much appreciated. I cannot wait to get into this game and start playing.

you may need to proxy your game, because as far as i know about Universities, Colleges, and or schools, that have very high speed connection would usually block and type of connection to games, p2p.

Ok so I managed to solve the problem by downloading and running hotspot shield, which is a free VPN service. I really only intend to use it for downloading updates though since it seems like i can now connect to the regular servers just fine. Limsa Lominsa here i come!
