I want to help fishing boats fend off monsters, or defend freight ships from pirates! It doesn't even have to be that complicated to program, although I suppose they could include a cannon firing feature. I just want to see more of the sea so I can feel more like a member of the Maelstrom fleet.

Of course, to balance things out the other two cities would need unique battle types as well.
We have so many different modes of transportation now, the boat seems kinda dull.
I like your idea of revitalizing the ferry. We definitely need more water-based content.
Hopefully, the first expansion pack will bring water-based stuff like dungeons, raids, zones, swimming, naval battles, etc.

It also makes more sense to be able to master water combats before aerial combats. The next expansions after that can bring aerial stuff or whatever. More water freedom please! (Yarr!)
