i was gonna say flying between hunt marks on a train LOLYou only really get to show them off in Frontlines where multiple players gather in a piece of content. That and in exploratory zones. Otherwise nobody really cares, because teleportation is so easy and efficient in these zones that it heavily devalues mounts.
Imagine if there was no flying, no aetherytes and you had to walk everywhere. Itd be annoying but at least more people will be out in the open and mounts would be valuable.
Wonder how many of us would like that
I think that core formula is fine (aside from having us suffer through only 2 expert dungeons for such a long time instead of 4...), but the additional content beyond the basics was a downgrade from past offerings.I don't know why people would think endwalker is bad because its really the same as FFXIV has been. FFXIV has a set formula for the content in the game. Every even number patch there is a 8 man raid, every odd number patch there is a 24 man raid. ilvl increases are always on even number patches with the 8 man raid. There is always a ex primal and a new dungeon with each patch as well. They also have side content things like deep dungeon. The formula they used for the game has worked for them since basically Heavensward so they probably are not going to change the formula in 7.0.
I'm honestly starting to wonder if all this "future proofing" of the game by making more and more content soloable will be a self-fulfilling prophecy where players are either pushed into doing things alone by virtue of the content released, or many people leave the game because they miss the social aspects of the game.I feel EW patches put too much dev time into solo activities that don’t have longevity like using NpCs for story dungeons and Islands. Adding NPCs to MsQ dungeons every patch is also probably a feature most vets will never even use. I haven’t. Even new players I can’t see using them more than once if that.
Many MMO players much prefer long-term engaging activities they can do with others. We didn’t really get that in EW.
super tinfoil and zepla covers this tooI'm honestly starting to wonder if all this "future proofing" of the game by making more and more content soloable will be a self-fulfilling prophecy where players are either pushed into doing things alone by virtue of the content released, or many people leave the game because they miss the social aspects of the game.
i find it hard to believe personally with yoshi p doubling down "10 more years of ffxiv"
HOWEVER, i leave it open to possibility but its certainly the dark ending i dont want
I don't want it, either. And I sincerely hope that I'm wrong. It's just a thought that has started nagging me lately.
I imagine a content creator trying to walk in here with an opinion in that in the slightest way bothers either white knights or doom sayers.Oh yeah I'd love content creators here too
I cant wait for the comments
"who are you ?"
"who the hell is zepla ? looool"
"you're a streamer your opinion doesnt matter you get paid for it"
"people agreeing with you are just fans of your stream"
"you suck lol who asked you ?"
"loool girl streamer"
I could go on
I imagine them leaving after death threats.
People is particulary rough against public figures that clearly have a following, either by virtue of their attitude, their work or their way of thinking.
"The will of my friends has etched into my heart, and now ill transform this infinite darkness into eternal light
Unmatched in heaven and earth, one body and one soul that challenge the gods!"
I wish they would do more with the roulette system and Fate system. Adding longevity to the game doesn't mean they need to toil over tons of brand new systems. Things like roulettes for variant dungeon and deep dungeons. Making all fates give bicolor gemstones and letting us by the same things as hunt currencies with them. Tons of people would be doing fates now.
Yeah, of course. I've gotten death threats for some of the things I've said on this forum, since I don't hide who I am whatsoever. And I am an absolute nobody.I imagine a content creator trying to walk in here with an opinion in that in the slightest way bothers either white knights or doom sayers.

It's really sad people are this polarized. Makes it hard not to fall into extremism myself, when I just want to have fun with the jobs/game again and stop being insulted for being a veteran of the game.
blah blah vinland saga I have no enemies blah blah
The FFXIV community isnt called #GCBTW for nothing, even the ones who used the zoom hack a few months back actually got death threats, streamers get death threats, youtubers get death threats, the second you dare be public about your opinion and it doesnt go in favor of the game, even to a minor extent, you're basically done and you will get attacked every single time possible and if not get death threats or more.I imagine a content creator trying to walk in here with an opinion in that in the slightest way bothers either white knights or doom sayers.

Some people just speaking publicly about not liking the MSQ even got death threats
it's just crazy how far things go in this game and how toxic positivity is prevalent.
