Zepla: Endwalker is the Worst FFXIV Expansion I have played

Expecting SE/YoshiP to suddenly break the formula they have been using since ARR is like expecting to go outside and find the sky has turned purple. Not gonna happen.

I agree it will never happen and them thinking they will break the formula for a 6.6 is a long stretch.

Personally, I don't have an issue with the formula itself. I mean content in general, not stuff like housing. Housing is a whole other can of worms. They've just been reducing the formula to a barebones state, if not removing some of it outright without compensating elsewhere, and that I'm not okay with. It's one thing to get what I'm expecting. It's another thing entirely when what I'm expecting keeps getting trimmed down to nothing.

Intent matters to me, but sometimes someone makes a good enough point that you can let it slide since the end result could be mutually beneficial. I'm not talking about Zepla specifically, mind you. The only one who knows her intent is herself. Just streamers/influencers in general. I'm not oblivious to their overall nature. I can just recognize an opportunity when I see it.

I mean.. by all means, write an e.mail to SE's PR and ask them for an interview with Yoshi. Let us know how that went.

Been in enough online game communities to know that it's rather rare for an individual player to have the devs' ear and to utilize that for the greater good as opposed to their own personal whimsy. It usually takes severe backlash to move mountains, and even then that can be slow. I get some might think we're in "severe backlash" stage and chicken little sub numbers in content lull, but that's ultimately not up to us to decide.

You guys would be better off shooting for a special live letter or even a fan fest Q&A session more focused on curated inquiries. Regardless, some won't like the questions SE chooses to answer or the way they answer them. Mention "cheese sandwich" to anyone who paid decent enough attention to FFXI back in the day and you'd know. Failure to acknowledge certain things can also be viewed as an answer.

I mean, don't get me wrong.. after spending like a decade within the League community in and out, I completely understand your disillusionment. I respect Zepla well enough to hope she'll bring the hard questions up to the table, tough as you say: not much we can do personally.

People are just trying to be edgy by using "lol who ?" "isnt that the one who begged for money" "why should i listen ?" just to try and be cool because "loool bullying streamers is funny"

What's hilarious is that when streamers are positive about the game, people will post it on the forums "wow look guys zepla said the game is amazing !!!"

I enjoyed EW immensely. Still working on side quests of that expansion too. So much content for me still to explore. Why I wonder why such players are listened too and not those like myself? Because I don’t have thousands of followers and viewers does that make my thoughts and opinions invalid?

They should listen to all feedback not just to people who praise the game. The moment they ignore all feedback and only listen to praise it will get people to leave.

Others, I have to Press X to doubt pretty freaking hard, as they dont even offer any constructive critique or discussion, and just dog on people.
Id love to see more actual conversation and debate, instead of insults and trolling.

Yea, I'm open to be proven wrong, but when you have multiple individuals using multiple accounts to bypass the comment limit and every one of those comments is just an insult against someone, I'm not likely to take your complaints seriously. There are some that have very good arguments, but threads like these quickly get taken over by the former types of posters especially when there is little moderation.
