Ultima is literally Zanza from the Xenoblade series, but without any sort of origin story or character motivation that made sense. He exists, because... he exists. He wants to absorb and become "perfecter" because... yes.I lost interest around the same point. I think Tales of Arise handled similar subject matter with more nuance and maturity. I did like quite a few of the characters in FFXVI in terms of their design and personalities but much like with Endwalker I just didn't think the payoff was worth it in the end.
Add in very little in the way of exploration, no real cities to run around in, no additional party members and a lack of side activities and it became a genuine struggle to finish it.
Dion was the highlight of the game for me and even he was drastically underused.
It did also shed some interesting light on certain design decisions that carry over between both FFXIV and FFXVI.

...which oddly isn't hating on Zep at all, and doesn't seem to be a person that is "toxic" or "scared", much less "going all in to defame Zepla".
Or we just find it nice to see that a large streamer actually agrees with our opinion and we have someone to point to when the turbo casuals tell us our opinion is a tiny minority and the game is perfectThe forum junkies found a hero that supports their narrative. As a result they are going to prop up this post on a pedestal for eternity for all to see. They somehow believe anyone cares. I find it incredibly amusing and I am happy to help them hoist the trophy high into the air with them. It keeps the vast majority of the trash in this forum in one thread. I love it.
Is knowing that the opposing opinion is more widespread than you think giving you that many heart palpitations
I just wish we could stop going at each other, and just learn to accept and respect ones opinions on the game.
People like the game, People hate the game, People are in the Middle with a little Column A & B.
All 3 sides matter, all sides should be heard. Nether side should be censored or harassed.
I know I say this in Vain: Ive said it many times. We should be able to discuss our thoughts and Opinions without being put down and attacked for them.
This isn't a 1 side Issue. Its an Issue on all Sides.
It'd be nice but as what's been said many times, these forums are a lost cause in reality. Just look down at the tags. Pure lunacy. No dev is looking at that and going "yeah these seem like good folks to listen to".I just wish we could stop going at each other, and just learn to accept and respect ones opinions on the game.

I can't say there is No Value in these threads...but they quickly devolve into nonsense and muddy any good reasonable intention and Criticism, and then buries it.
Some threads are also of course made & Necroed just to stir chaos and The LOLS, which is irritating, because I WOULD love to see actual, REAL, and CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism thrown at the game for the devs to see, and consider, and hopefully apply to the game.
But Jesus Christ, these stupid Meme Wars and constant attacks at eachother pretty much kill the conversation and distract from things we NEED the devs to see.
I have no power or pull here and just look like an idiot trying to say on a Forum "Can we freaking Stop the Bullshit, and have nice Constructive Threads and Conversations?" For Christ Sake. Make it easier for the devs to hear us and see what we want, instead of acting like idiots and children
I know nobody is going to care. But still I try with this Damned place.
I still am curious what the issue would be if SE added more replayability to content that we got. Someone posted earlier some really interesting suggestions that would have made variant/criterion dungeons much more replayable and I think more interesting. I think not tying the relics to the variant dungeons was a big mistake as it took an easy dunk to tie your completely new feature to something that a lot of people are going to want to do and just completely missed the mark with that. What is the argument against adding more reasons to do the content that SE added in EW other than to complete it enough to finish the variant story or complete it once for the achievement?
There's been actually constructive threads all around the forums, we do have people genuinely trying to engage with each other properly. Unfortunately, some forum members are prone to having strong reactions to things they don't like, so no thread is safe from trolling or derailing. I do believe that if people stop snapping at each other, behave with decorum and don't get baited by obvious bait, the forums could actually become a pleasant place again, even with the seeming lack of moderation.I have no power or pull here and just look like an idiot trying to say on a Forum "Can we freaking Stop the Bullshit, and have nice Constructive Threads and Conversations?" I don't think I've seen anyone arguing against adding more reasons to do content added in EW. If there was someone arguing against it, I missed it. Whether SE would actually do it at this point is unlikely though I don't think anyone would complain if they did do something in 6.5 to address it.I still am curious what the issue would be if SE added more replayability to content that we got. I guess I don't see where some of the "the game is fine as is, go do old content" or honestly arguments against Zepla's points are coming from then since this seems to be the biggest message she was pushing (to me). The lack of replayability in EW was a design decision by SE and some of us are concerned that it will continue in DT. I am a bit hopeful that SE will see it and fix it, but at the same time I get why people aren't as there isn't a clear "This is what we are doing" message from SE yet.I don't think I've seen anyone arguing against adding more reasons to do content added in EW.
