No, not really. There's numerous options for XPing beyond MSQ.I just last night hit Level 90 on my first job, Dragoon. First off, I just want to say that I've had a blast so far! But I still have so very much I want to do in the game - and I will.
To my question. I have not yet completed the Endwalker MSQ in its entirety. Looking at where I am at currently, and the remaining Level 85-89 MSQ quests remaining, it looks like I have roughly 18 million XP left. Which at this point is roughly two levels of XP, from 88-90. Sounds like a lot, but it really isn't, IMO.
I knew for a while that I'd hit 90 before finishing the MSQ. I'd contemplated pausing my MSQ progress until I get a second combat job high enough to switch over. My next highest job right now is a Level 80 Black Mage, which I've been mainly leveling through Trusts.
But, after consideration, my inclination right now is just to go ahead and finish the Endwalker MSQ as my Dragoon and not worry about it. I do still need to do the last role quests with DRG as well. It just feels right. Yes, I'm essentially leaving that 18 mil XP on the table, but it's really not worth worrying about.
Is there any downside to that? I can't find one but this is new to me, so I thought I would ask. Thanks!
Frontline is easy XP. Arkadasora Tribe quests give really nice XP. There's a ton of side quests you can do. There's also Bozja which still gives full XP despite the level 80 synch.
