I may be wrong, but my experience is generally that the truly good players typically don't feel the need to show off. They have enough confidence not to get into constant e-peen measuring contests.

Edit: I also straight up don't get the point of exclusivity. Someone else also having a thing doesn't in any way lessen my enjoyment of having it.

Gets even funnier when you remember that he said this on one of his previous alts. Man i don't really like the guy, but at least he knows how to get everyone riled up.

You'll find a mix. Many good players do become intoxicated by the affirmation they occasionally get from being skilled/accomplished, and will try to 'force' it by showing off and bragging. This is usually destructive in the long-run; You might fish out a good response initially, but it'll eventually push people away as they start to realize you are trying to be noticed.

My advice to people who are stuck in that affirmation seeking loop:

Being humble commands long-term respect. You will find people are infinitely more impressed with you when they discover your accomplishments organically, even if it takes them some time. If you seem both down-to-earth and highly skilled, people will gravitate to you organically. It's a more long-term investment, but is so much healthier in the end.

    So true it hurts.
How about some actual improvements the game needs to stay enjoyable and iron out issues that everyone would enjoy.
Instead of trival garbage that doesnt do anything for the game as a whole, but some dude(s?) just want some exclusive ego-boosting Fomo

to go along side this they should also put a special mount on mog station that you can only get the first day of patch, truely exclusive, only the truely elite will get them.

Weird that OP is advocating for something they can't even get anyway.

A week 1 reward however is FOMO forcing people who want it to HAVE to clear it week 1.

    Do the Math mate.
I don't think the game needs more fomo than it already has but I feel like the raids do need more incentives... just not ultimates. Savage tiers become so irrelevant its hard to find parties for them when they are old even in the same expansion (mind you, I don't say its impossible but its still way more patience an effort than people would usually give since pfs take longer to fill and therefore less time to actually prog them) so they NEED additional rewards either in general or after its relevant so it deletes another fomo factor from the game.

BCOB (T5) took 65 days and was primarily gated as long as it was by Twister being broken/badly tuned. Complaints almost invariably centred around this problem.

SCOB (T9) took 19 days and was mildly gear gated (It was just a huge difficulty step up over anything else at the time). I honestly don't remember seeing any complaints over T9 tbh.

FCOB (T13) took 5 days and wasn't at all gear gated. The only complaints here were that it was disappointingly easy for what was meant to be a grand finale.

Gordias (A4S) took 34 days, it wasn't gear gated, but was rather jank/strat/latency gated as was later confirmed when a Chinese team killed it 4 days after release in ilvl 190 (aka normal mode) gear but with the luxury of fleshed out strats and regional servers. Gordias complaints will go down in history but this was rooted in terrible development, tuning and testing decisions rather than raw gear gating.

Midas (A8S) took 17 days and was similar to T9 in that it was mildly gear gated but was also yet another major step up in complexity. The main complaints that I can remember were primarily down to how PF unfriendly A6S was. I don't remember A8S getting much if any flak at all tbh. My only nit pick was that it was a bit long but outside of that, it was an instant classic.

Creator (A12S) took 2 days and wasn't at all gear gated. Complaints were that if anything, it was quite significantly undertuned and disappointingly easy, even more so than T13.

The community didn't seem to have a problem with it back then. I do actually agree with you though, in the sense that I suspect people wouldn't be happy with new raid tiers taking more than a day to be back on farm status. But that's primarily because the raids aren't really fun anymore, at least not like they used to be.
