Savage mount with particle effects if you clear in week 1

It ain't FOMO, the Savage mount is still there, it just won't have minor particle effects. The particle effects are just there to show that you are an elite raider. If you don't like it, you can make it another color.

Somebody might want that, but it is REQUIRED to Clear it Week 1.

I don't raid anymore and I think this is a great idea. Why should I have the same exact mount as someone that cleared it when it was current content (let alone week 1) if I wind up waiting until the next expansion to do it? Maybe they should just not let the mount drop if you do it unsync. That would probably ruffle a lot of feathers.

This is all a ploy to increase savage sales for rmt. Week one sale costs will skyrocket and sales will go up.

I don't think the negative impact this would have on the community would be worth the little bit of clout you'd get from owning it.

I wouldn't mind unique in-game rewards for worlds first or region/DC first though.

How about a compromise?

Week 1 clears get the shiny.
However: If, at any time, you clear it with both Minimum Item Level and No Echo active you can also get the shiny.

They could give you an archievement that rewards 0 archievement points for clearing week 1. You will permanently have it on your lodestone and those archievement tracking websites if you really care about it

Tying unique rewards like titles or mounts requires to be a bit more carefull. Maybe they could give a title for clearing on the same patch as the savage release, plenty of time for something minor and bragging rights. Even then title collectors would feel pressured if they dont want to do savage or people would be frustrated they cant get it in the future etc etc...

Thats why the easy way out is just to not tie limited time rewards to anything (and why so many people are asking when are they re-releasing the old series rewards for PvP)
