Thread: How many msq from 2.0 to 2.5 patch ?

The patch MSQ can feel like a whole expansion of its own in terms of story and cutscenes. The amount of quests doesn't really convey it well because some of them may have long cutscenes or battle instances that are what cause it to take so long.

Don't focus on the number of quests. They can be anything from substantial events to the quest starting with Person A saying "go talk to Person B" and Person B has the green tick overhead.

Post-credits MSQ has six "chapters", and you'll get an achievement at the end of each. (Not totally sure about the fifth chapter – five and six are two halves of a single patch.)

You also, at a point of your choosing during the process, need to pursue two sidequest chains: one starting with Minfilia that unlocks harder versions of the three primal trials you did earlier, and the other being the Crystal Tower storyline – the quest starter will be pointed out to you when you visit Mor Dhona. These need to be finished before you can progress to the sixth MSQ chapter.

If you value efficiency over focusing on one storyline at a time, get one of these sidequest series going up to the point where you unlock a trial or raid, then queue for that while you work on one of the other questlines. The primal trial questline has the shortest amount of questing before unlocking the first duty.
