Okay to this post, everything is losing players to BG3, every game has some part of the community is playing. This is probably going to be one of those generational games that define a genre for years and everything in this genre will be compared to it for the next probably decade, it literally is a scale of final fantasy 7 Western release or Halo. It's even getting an uptick in tabletop games like DND and Pathfinder because of it's successful nature, but is it a threat to any MMO no. We're talking about a game that had to have his development time increased by 3 years, a game that as of August 7th has no DLC content at all in the works, they don't even have the concept on where to go with DLC so it would be if they released it years away. So of course it's going to get a big draw at the moment it's very rare to come across a game like this they could be this defining, the thing is once it's done there's nothing to draw back into it, once they've completed whatever their goals are with their game the game becomes a dust collector meanwhile 14 will still be going and they can come right back to it and continue and progress like nothing happened. So let people enjoy something that is a rare thing especially in today's game market. Stop being a doomsayer because you're going to probably say the same thing when starfield comes out will it be as successful who knows but it will be a success initially it has enough hype (though not from me I won't touch it till modders gets a multiplayer aspect to it just cuz I don't think exploring all that and everything alone is enjoyable to me.) Just calm down either enjoy this game or go enjoy that one or another one this game will still continue and that's what some people like about it they can feel completed in this game go enjoy another game and then come back to this one without feel like they've missed much.
