    Problem 1: I always built my party, so I never seen any proactive people spend more than an hour lfg, especially post level-sync.

    Any comparisons to XI being good had better be limited to story, scenery, or nostalgia because the bulk of what that game brought to the table was terribly incorporated. The only reason I started playing again after the WoTG fiasco was Abyssea, the one good thing XI did (outside of story, scenery, or nostalgia)
    So auto-leveling and giving you everything on a platter was a good thing? Guess that pretty much puts you in agreement that everything should be handed to you in an MMO.

    The enmity system, combat system, changing gear (leading to sidegrade gear updates (lazy development)
    Guess you agree XIV's itemization is lazy too, because they yet to release gear that can be seen as an alternative to even double melded gear, Darklight barely comes close and only because it has stats on pieces that materia can't all cover.

    Oh, and the fact that we have to waste our own time figuring out formulas for everything or what Treasure Hunter actually does is pretty lame as well.
    Ironically people had to spend more time figuring out XIV's formulas because shit actually didn't work to begin with lol. People knew what TH did, what people didn't know in 2003 was how you applied it.

    SE made it more obvious in later years. Though you're in the frame of mind that abyssea was the best thing that happens, which means you probably think XIV is the perfect MMO.

    Leveling should stay how it is now. If you want to take longer to do it, that's fine...but don't ruin it for people who don't like to make a career out of leveling a class. As it turns out, there is no character progression aside from just grinding EXP, so there's no incentive to make it take longer.

    You can actually attain levels 1-50 in sub 6 hours if you really want to. That's how bad it is.

    leveling is way too fast. taking my time took almost a month with only two days a week i could play a lot. It should take at least 3x longer than that.. but the problem right now is we would need more lower and mid level content.

    In the end I personally think it all comes down to PLing and the fast exp from 41-50. Even it out, and remove PLing and then I think both sides will be satisfied especially since 2.0 will have a tutorial on the f'n search feature.

    Yep, the speed is fine once you hit party levels, the main issue if you can power level people which makes it even faster than it should be.

    Though people are all for rushing to end-game and not realize that you leave zero reason for them to develop low and mid level content since you just blow through it no matter what. Someone will say "but if you make it fun...!" No, some of the side-quests in this game have nice little story and lore tidbits that people blow past because you can sit on your ass and get powerleveled to max in hours, then go back and complain that things like Shposhae is "too easy" and "worthless".

    I agree the main issue is powerleveling but developers seem mum on actually doing anything about it and Yoshi seems to support it rather feverently.

    Without Powerleveling it takes a acceptable ammount of time to max out (Although the last 20 levels need to be slowed down a bit)

    Nope..fast leveling = fast route to all content.

    Spammable Content = complete all content quickly.

    Complete all content quickly = People complaining about nothing to do.

    XI's pace was perfect because it had content you could do in between of leveling or instead of leveling, plus by time most people finished leveling, SE released even more content. The problem with new age MMOs is they need to make leveling an afterthought and give you all content at once.
    Lol at your whole post I, don't ever remember Yoshi-p saying he wants fights with a single mob to take 60-90 secs with a full pt he may have said that for solo but never for a full pt. The rest of your post is just as ridiculous hell the content to do in xi while lvling up was terrible, all the content you said that XI had was more like roadblocks not content. The lvl cap quest farming kazham keys, and making money for gear all that shit was road blocks for char progression and not in a good way, it made plenty of ppl quit cause it was not something they could solo or it took way too long to do. Just like this game @ one point the only thing to do in xi was lvling till cap then that's where the bulk of the content was.
