Allow us to start multiple leves at the same time without timers.

I don't feel like the timer is adding anything to the gameplay of XIV.
Also why does so much of the content come with so many restrictions?

Let us start a bunch of leves and just enjoy the game in a long free roaming grinding session where we can go about and kill enemies in with our own strategies.

Remember Fields of Valor? Please trust your playerbase a bit more and stop this spoon-feeding. We are the players that killed Sephiroth, fought Omega acquired ultimate weapons, slayed dark aeons and found that damn difficult fat bird in the sky.

I've just grinded through levels 28 and 29 by a seemingly endless amount of teleports to the same starting points and now I can honestly say that all of the leves in all 3 areas felt exactly the same to me.

Here's hoping that 2.0 gives us more options and more power to the players when it comes to choosing our own paths.

Well what you described are side quests...

I agree with you, would be cool if you can acquire leves at the actual node instead of going to the guild for them and maybe a slew of repeatable quests or dailies, weeklys and whatnot...

Keeping it part of the casual content and putting in what you ask for may not be possible.

Leves are supposed to feel casual, if i'm understanding the point of them correctly, as they are solo-able, can be done with very small groups.

rather than start them all at once, I like the idea of starting them at the end of the one you just finished from the node.

I'd also like to see an option to teleport back to the town they started in, and not just back to the crystal.

there is just an excessive amount of running around imo

I don't like anything said in this thread except this. This is a good idea.
In other words, after you finish a leve, you should be able to start your other leves from the temporary node before it dissipates, or choose to teleport to the camp. This way, if your next leve is in the same general area, you don't have to run back.

Would be okay with this, or OP's solution.

Leve was supposed to act as a lore-filler, placing them here and there to give more role-playing atmosphere to player
As you might (not) realize, they have this teeny tiny short writing on the leve card, as background story
This make us know that in Horizon area (someone please correct this if a mistake), it was the Brass Blade that keep thing on control, or the Wood Wailer in the Shroud, or the Cudas in La Noscea

We also know from leve that, Peiste eat lalafell for dinner

    and go

    Hello,

Good or bad, desired or not, Leves were designed for the 'casual' adventurer who had 15-30 minutes of play time. The whole concept of leves was designed around that idea. The 'limitation' of 4 leves was most likely not considered a limitation at all as it was suspected the 'casual' adventurer would not finish 4 quickly enough for that to be a nuisance.

Good or bad, right or wrong..

Zoom forward, and we have people using this 'casual oriented' content for 'hard core gains' and you end up in the present dillema. I think it was their thinking that those who wanted to do hard-core-grinding can form 'Parties', where the XP rate is better. Of course, sadly, the in game mechanics fail a bit here in aiding the creation of parties.

The issue is not 'the leves system', but rather the inability to find/form parties quickly enough resulting in a fall back to a system that was not meant to replace hard-core-partying (^^;;.

On a side note, you should be able to get leves from some nodes for Grand Company Levequests, negating the need to return to town.

On a side-side-note, you could theoretically form a levequest party (with up to 8 people!) and then each have leves and spawn them. In fact, I SUPPOSE you could leave one person at the node who just triggers the leves while the other 7 go out and keep fighting without returning to the node?

I like this idea, starting 4 leves at once would leave u with lot of work maybe you can fight different leve monsters at the same time, maybe that could help make the grinding a lot more immersive

I think it would be 'counter immersive' as the 'immersion' is from the idea of going on a specific quest to solve a specific problem or challenge to aid your local community. The 'immersion' is lost when you say: I'll just go killa bunch of mobs at once.

From other aspects (trying to do as many XPs as possible) I can understand. Just not on the immersion/RP bit.

IMO they should get rid of leves....make mobs with 5 levels below the PC to give no exp and mobs to be a lot more harder....
