Character Growth: Leveling is part of RPGs

    Hello there,
I'd like to let you know what's my opinion about the hot topic of leveling in Final Fantasy XIV. I've read a lot of threads about it, and what I could deduce is that none wants a faster way of leveling.

Final Fantasy VIII, Island closest to Hell

In each Final Fantasy titles, or in general RPGs, leveling is one of the main aspects of the game, such as story theme or battle system. People that like this gender of games also like building up their characters, spending hours to achieve to highest level in the game. Someone could love it, someone could like it less, but if you play RPGs this is something you expect. I think that a way to evaluate an RPG is how fun is the leveling phase, because it represents a big part of the game itself.

In the Player's Poll I answered that now leveling is too fast, you can achieve level 50 in 3 days. This ruins the game experience in some ways, and deprive Final Fantasy XIV of a key aspect of fun.

    Natalan, and its wolves...

Please don't misunderstand me, I don't like FFXI's leveling system [old style (and new style "Abyssea" )] which was too much time consuming, but it was at the same time engaging anyway. What I'd like to see in future Final Fantasy XIV is an in between solution, where you can hit level 50 in 2-3 weeks, enjoying the new landscapes and monsters, and get some skill in doing this.

It's hard to feel the growth of your character if it happens in just few hours, so please consider this for future updates.

What do you think guys about it?

    P.S.
In my opinion there should be a tweak for battles, still too much confusing and without strategy (I'm not talking of Primal or Dungeons fights ) but this is another topic.
