"They could simply ..." should never be used in discussing game code development. I have a friend working in the MMORPG industry at this point, and there is never anything that they do that is simple.

So do I, and yes, some things CAN be that simple.

If it did then it wouldn't be a thing in WoW which has banned anything that modifies game files and has a scanner to prevent that. And yet, despite that, Moon Guard Gold Shire has been a bigger ERP presence to this day than just about anything else.

Goldshire is 18+ content done right. It's localized and based on classic text-based RP. Don't like it? Don't go there. Even trade chat on Moon Guard has less profanity than Balmung Ul'dah's shout chat. Profanity, lewdness and adult-oriented advertising seeps through every pore of FFXIV in North America. Every DC has been infected with it. The "seedy underbelly" of FFXIV is now its public face. This game has turned into a cesspit.

These are all in "Other" PF category. Consider not going there? There's really no content on that tab. Raids, extremes, ults are on High-End tab, the others are on their specific tabs.

"Other" is the place for every other PF not classified specifically. IDK why would anybody would be bothered by that PF tab. Just don't go there.

Just don't look in the party finder! Just hide /shout chat! Just ignore tells! Just stay away from any FFXIV community online! I sure love paying $13 a month for a game full of adverts, spam and sex pests!

There are strip club venues all over on Moon Guard just like there is in FF14, as well as brothels and other very very questionable things. One of which takes place in the catacombs of the Stormwind Cathedral. Also, I'll take Balmung Shout chat over Moon Guard Trade Chat any day of the week. At least on Balmung it's at most just sort of lewd and crude. Moon Guard's trade chat is a legit cesspool that makes the LoL forums look friendly.

Oh and as an added bonus. Have TRP3 turned on the next time you visit the Lion's Pride Inn on Moon Guard. About 80% of them have Cam links or things to earn gold through OnlyFans rather than actual text based ERP.

Cool, I don't use WoW for ERP so I didn't know that (I prefer to play the game). So because WoW does it, that means we should too, right?

If you make the forums untenable for giving honest opinions, don't be surprised when people get mad at you for it. Doesn't matter if it's just one or more than one person. The issue is the same, which is people looking to flame to feel satisfaction like a sociopath. I was hoping it was just people being bitter about themselves being sunk costed so they harass based off it, but now it looks worse. It's also why I'm assuming it's just one person, because having more than one person feel the need to bait or flame for sociopathic fun is a worst case scenario.

WoW trade chat is bored boosters using throwaway accounts to flame people, spam politics in bad faith, etc. Although the forums here are giving off identical vibes from select people.
