yeah was wondering this myself, getting the GC weapon is much easier than getting a decent double/triple meld on a hart + 1 and its better.

Unless you are a Flame, the Sergeant lance is superior until you have the 5-piece set ^^

flamer here, though it sucks our lieutenants armor is so mage heavy, the sergeants chest is quite nice though. And I expect the sergeants will become more useful with being able to carry around sanctum items.

United We Stand stands in my way and my LS has already done a run without me, making it difficult to get them to stop and do so again, given my best times to play run right along event times.

I have a Mog Fork and I'm pretty sure that's better xD

BLAST YOU! Moogles are being stubborn with droping me mine. Though we kill them dependably enough, the only weapon I've gotten from them has been been the THM staff, which I have no interest in BLM. I've also got no charms yet either. ; ;


Still, in either case. I'll still be pushing Heart even after I have a superior, just to see what sort of crazy combination I can make out of it. I don't think its full potential has been tapped, due to how much of a pain it is to meld powerful meteria.

The Flame Lieutenant's is the best in-game next to Relic (unless you crit build, then Garuda), since you have the attack power without the 5-piece set needed.

Can you explain this to me why Crit build is better for Garuda? I currently have STR/PIE stacked and using Garuda's Beak. If a Crit set is indeed better, I will switch some things around in my gear.

Looking at pure stats, the Attack Power bonus makes the Flame Lieutenant superior to Garuda's Beak. If, however, your gear is focused on crit hits, the Garuda's Beak is better since you get +45 Crit Attack Power

Are there tests to prove this? STR/PIE gear vs. Crit Gear. If Crit Gear is proven better, I made a set for that also.

. . . I don't know which is better. If you have gear focused on capping, the flame spear supplements that gear the best. If you use a crit set, the Garuda's Beak is more beneficial to that set. So if you use capping gear, use the flamer. If you use crit gear, use the beak.
