Umm, do you know what the Phoenix is? You have to remember that there is alot of players has not gotten past ARR yet or never did Coils before. So nice try tho.

I would agree had FFXIV events been anything like WoW in the past, but unfortunately they never have. How seasonal events are ‘one-and-done’ with no real repeatable rewards or incentives, is one of my biggest disappointed of the game from day one. Especially when they decide to add past items to the Store rather then event merchants…They should've at least made the quest something about the Phoenix, make everyone do a nerfed version of Coils or just T12 and T13. WoW's seasonal quest was much more involved. This isn't just any Rising this is their 10th anniversary Rising, and yet it's so generic.
That said, I was OK with this one. The sentiment was sweet, and I loved the Forest of Letters idea. Reading the dev messages was nice. Also I would rather a board SE intern write the quest then let AI or Chapt Bots touch the games lore…

They were kind of like WoW's early on, though the grind still didn't last more than a day max. But people actually had to put in some effort for their rewards, even if it was just Fate grinding or repeatable quests. They've been doing that less and less as time goes on, usually just removing the grind outright.I would agree had FFXIV events been anything like WoW in the past, but unfortunately they never have. It's not meant to be some epic quest, just a short nice and happy celebration of the game's anniversary.
And you can go read messages from the dev team after doing it.

Come on folks, less talking and more action
prompt: Today is 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy XIV. 10 years after the calamity that almost wiped the planet. Write a short but epic story remembering those days and making the player feels like someone that matters.
GPT: In the hushed halls of history, there exists a tale of defiance that transcends the ages – a saga of valor and rebirth that etches itself into the heart of Eorzea. Ten years have come to pass since the day the world teetered on the precipice of oblivion, as the Calamity unfurled its malevolent wings, casting darkness upon the realm.
The day dawned with a fiery embrace, as the realm shuddered under the weight of devastation. It was a day that shook the heavens and echoed with the cries of countless souls caught in the storm's merciless grasp. Amid the chaos and despair, a beacon of hope emerged – adventurers, united by destiny, rose from the ashes to wield their courage as a shield against the encroaching darkness.
Among them, one stood resolute – you, the Warrior of Light. A mere mortal imbued with extraordinary resolve, you embarked on a quest to defy fate itself. Through trials that would break the spirit of lesser beings, you stood unwavering, a symbol of Eorzea's undying spirit.
With every enemy vanquished, every bond forged, the chorus of hope grew louder. The realm began to mend its wounds, and the heart of the land pulsed once more with vitality. The Crystal Braves rallied under your banner, forging a path through danger, unlocking forbidden secrets, and rewriting the fate of Eorzea.
As the 10th anniversary of the Calamity arrives, the land stands transformed – reborn, reinvigorated, and ready to embrace the dawn of a new era. Echoes of your feats reverberate through the realm, reminding all of the power of unity and the resilience of the human spirit.
With each day that passes, you remain a beacon of light in a world still shadowed by the memory of that fateful calamity. Your name etched in the annals of time, a living testament to the unwavering courage that defied the darkness. In this tale of ten years past, you are not just a player; you are the embodiment of heroism, the very essence of Final Fantasy XIV's eternal legacy.

prompt: Now write it as a quest with 5 steps to include the player in a narrative. Those quests should include activities like: Talk to X NPC, gather X material, etc.
Quest Title: Echoes of Rebirth
Step 1: A World Remembered
Step 2: Gathering Hope
- Quest Giver: Elder Gwenneth
- Objective: Seek out Elder Gwenneth in the heart of the sanctuary. Listen to her recount the harrowing tale of the Calamity's aftermath.
- Dialog: "Ah, adventurer. It has been a decade since the Calamity shook our world. I was here when it happened, and I remember the devastation all too well..."
Step 3: A Tribute Unveiled
- Quest Giver: Reisa, the Botanist
- Objective: Speak with Reisa, the Botanist, by the tranquil pond. Help her gather rare Starlight Petals, which have bloomed in remembrance of the Calamity's victims.
- Dialog: "The Starlight Petals signify hope and renewal. They remind us that even in the darkest times, life finds a way to flourish."
Step 4: Voices of Remembrance
- Quest Giver: Aeren, the Sculptor
- Objective: Deliver the Starlight Petals to Aeren, the Sculptor, at his workshop. Watch as he meticulously crafts a monument to honor those who persevered through the Calamity.
- Dialog: "Each petal is a testament to the strength of our people. This sculpture shall stand as a symbol of our resilience, a tribute to the heroes who emerged from the ashes."
Step 5: Unyielding Light
- Quest Giver: Minstrel Selene
- Objective: Seek out Minstrel Selene at the amphitheater. Participate in a musical performance that commemorates the struggles and triumphs of Eorzea's denizens.
- Dialog: "Music has the power to bind hearts across time. Let your melody join with others to create a harmonious tapestry of our shared history."
As the dust of history settles, you stand at the precipice of a new era, a hero who emerged from the shadows of the Calamity to shape the destiny of Eorzea. Your actions, from gathering petals to performing in remembrance, have woven you into the fabric of the realm's history, ensuring that the echoes of your deeds resonate for generations to come.
- Quest Giver: Alphinaud, Scion of the Seventh Dawn
- Objective: Meet Alphinaud at the Rising Stones. Reflect on your journey and hear his words of encouragement as Eorzea enters a new chapter.
- Dialog: "It was your bravery that paved the way for the world's resurgence. Eorzea is forever indebted to you, the Warrior of Light. Together, we shall face whatever challenges lie ahead."
There's a great meme in the JP community that spawned from an incident at the FF14 10th anniversary fireworks show, and has been being used in JP to describe the current state of the game/event.
"1000yen yakisoba with no toppings"

Lol, this is kinda like that whole debacle with the limited edition figurines that SE was selling a while ago. FFXIV fans were pissed at the poor quality of the expensive figurines.

After what I had to go through with Endwalker's Collector Box and my broken statue, I vowed to never buy a physical CE from SE again. Not only was it of a lesser quality than they showed off at Fanfest, it was broken in about 3-4 different places. They sent me a replacement, but it took about 2 months of going back and forth with them to make it happen.
no aonori, no red ginger, heck there isn't even any cabbage let alone any meat. just noodles and it doesn't even fill out the plastic dish it's in. i'd feel ripped off if i paid roughly seven dollars for that. might as well just go to the store and get the ingredients to make my own, probably be even cheaper if it's just the noodles and that amount. bet even just a store packaged bento would be cheaper than that.
also lol, i found the original twitter post and the op said they went back to the place and the price had gone up.
