Thank you for... the same event as every year for a 10 year anniversary? For a joke of a mogstation sale? For more items then ever bring forced to said mogstation? Hm.

Its weird, yet very nice to not see the Forums chuck full of drama and stupidity.
But Just like the Calm in Spiria...I know it wont last...
Prude...Sour Grapes
Yoshi P's message felt super generic this year. Not even a mention of how many years I've been playing or referencing past rising events like they did before. Most I got was Bran recognizing me. :/
I thought the "Kupo Kupo Adventure" minigame was fun. That was new for this year, right? It doesn't last long, but it's a nice effort to give us an actual activity to do outside of "talk to NPCs until they stop talking and give you your prize." And it seems like you can play it any time at the Toy Chest in your inn room, it doesn't just vanish from the game after the event is over. That gets a thumbs up from me.
As for the letters from the devs, I like the idea of it but after reading a few of them they seem a little generic. It would have been cool to see something a little more personal, and even have the letters signed with the actual devs' names rather than vague "choregraphist" or "composer." I know they want to keep the in-universe illusion that these are game NPCs, but if they are going to literally insert Yoshi-P in the game, they can at least let some other devs speak their piece for a one-time 10th anniversary event. They even let you enter a "developer room" and speak to them in person one year, although I missed that one.

Thank you from me as well. I've enjoyed the game the past 7 years.
I did the event early this morning with my cousin, who is still fairly new to the game. She told me she appreciates being able to play a game where the developers express their own appreciation to the players.
Also, the Kupo Kupo mini-game is a lot of fun!
Sounds more like they are talking about The Lodestone than the forums.
Considering they only add items to the online store, not remove items, it makes sense that there are more items to choose from now than at any point in the past.
It's pretty amazing how upset people get over a dozen or so items being added to the cash shop over the course of an expansion while the game itself gets hundreds that can be earned through gameplay.
What I really dont get is that these same people dump all over the game all the time, complain about "corporate profits" etc..and yet here they are, paying for said game. The mogshop has some items, granted, but the fact is that the vast majority of items is ingame. It's pretty amazing how upset people get over a dozen or so items being added to the cash shop over the course of an expansion while the game itself gets hundreds that can be earned through gameplay.
As a wise friend of mine said recently, "misery loves company".
BTW
Jojoya, do you mind if I co opt your signature?

You're having a hard time understanding this because you think criticism of the game comes from a place of hate, when really it's just people who love the game and don't want it to get oversimplified, milked, and streamlined to death.
Completely up to you.
Too many of the critics aren't expressing any love for the game, though. They're only expressing hate.
I know that has come up before but as I've said before if players only mention what the devs are doing wrong and never mention what they're doing right, they're going to stop paying attention. No one can work effectively if they're stuck in a negative echo chamber.
